I know they've made many bad decisions, but we will not be trading for rentals. We will trade JVR. Don't know about any others, hard to say, but that'll happen.

I think you're right.  They won't be trading for rentals.   I do see them trading JVR & Braun.  It wouldn't surprise me if they end up moving Hayes as well by retaining some salary.

I would leave him down for two reasons i want LV to make the playoffs.

I am afraid Ersson is only going to screw the draft pick up they are better off not making the playoffs trading JVR, Braun and MacEwen for picks/prospects and anyone else they can move out not needed going into next year.

And this gives the kids who may be fighting for a spot next season some playoff experience in the AHL.

Foerster, Desnoyers, Brink, York, Zamula, Attard, Hogberg and Errson.

I agree.  Let Sandtrom be the baackup for the rest of the year.  Eventually they will have to trade him unless they rather lose him for nothing.

He as close to being fired as I am being an NBA first round pick.... I trip over my feet and am 5'10".

Until there is ownership that cares more about winning and less about corporate profits, it will be more of the same.

I think he finishes the season & is fired before the Draft.

Felix Sandstrom. Pack your bags. Sorry bro nothing personal Ersson just moves better/quicker than you. I wish you well.

Ersson may be better than Hart.  Too early to tell but I've liked the kid since seeing him a few years ago at their training center.

Sandstrom would have to be traded, as he would most likely be picked up if waived to the AHL.

The Coots, Ellis, and Cam pieces are interesting and sad.  Candidly, I could see Coots coming back next year and falling apart quickly, then ending it.  Ellis and Cam--we know about Ellis, Cam.....might join Voracek and say good bye.  Ellis....I have to think some announcement is made after the end of the season.  We don't hear anything, and I suspect no news is bad news.

I do feel the same as you on Ellis.  Can't ever see him playing again & hope he retires after the season.  If Cam does play next season, I would like to see them trade him.  He will have a tradable contract by then.  No sense keeping a 33 or 34 year old player at this point.  Coots is rather interesting.  You can argue he's been one of their best overall player in the last 5 years.  I was at the Flyers practice this morning & Coots was working out on the other ice surface in the Training center.  He has a long way to go, but look ok on the ice.  It wouldn't make much sense for him to try & come back this season.  He would be smart to wait until next season to see if he's still capable of playing & more importantly, able to take hits.

The game against Toronto will be an interesting test.  With the exception of LA, our wins were against cellar dwellers.  Sunday is a much tougher opponent.

Torts' comments about tanking and media bashing are interesting.  He said players aren't paying attention.  My gut says they are.  And the recent play may reflect his coaching, player growth, and player anger against the media.  Maybe they want to disprove the "pundits."

You're right.  The Toronto game should show whether this team is able to go up against the better teams.
