  1. And the worst thing about this (except for not getting Weber) is that the large market teams (Flyers, Red Wings,Rags etc) will be helping to pay for this

guy through revenue sharing, because Nashville never makes money.. I think that SUCKS!!

  2. Just saw on ESPN/NHL that Claude was the #1 star of the Cross Sports Power

Rankings which seems to rank stars from all sports. Take a look on ESPN NHL.

Heading into the NHL playoffs, the Flyers-Penguins series had the potential to be an all-time classic, and so far it's delivered -- well, unless you're a Penguins fan. Leading the charge for Philadelphia has been 24-year-old center Claude Giroux, and he takes the top spot in this week's Cross-Sport Power Rankings.

After being held scoreless in the Flyers' Game 1 win, Giroux busted out with three goals and three assists in Game 2, setting a Philadelphia franchise record for most points in a playoff game. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in Game 3, putting the Flyers on the brink of a sweep over the favored Penguins.

Giroux had some help, as teammate Danny Briere checks in at No. 7 in the rankings, giving the Flyers two of the three NHL players to make this week's top 10.

Check out the full rankings below and let us know what you think in the comments section. If you impress our panel with your critique, you could be featured as a guest ranker for next week's edition.

  3. I was there during the Bullies days. I used to get obstructed view seats for the game and sit on the stairwell so that I could see. Ruxpin. Gene Hart taught at my high school (Lenape)

and he was a bit of an ass. He was pretty big(fat) and when he walked down the corridor it was tough to get around him. He also turned me in for cutting study hall. Yes, this shows

that I am old, but I got to see the Flyers back in the glory days during the '70's!! When the Flyers were in the finals then everybody wore a Flyers jersey and there were more than

    2,000 kids at the school.

  4. The sixth game of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Flyers & the Oilers in 1987 at the Spectrum. I won the ticket in a raffle at my job. The owner of the company

bought dinner and all the drinks for me and 2 others. We sat down the end where J.J. D. scored the game winner. I had been to many Flyers games since 1974,

but never heard the Spectrum rock like that. It was the loudest I've ever heard (including many rock concerts). When we left you would have thought that the Flyers

had won the Stanley Cup. It was fricking crazy!!

  5. I never really did anything but read the posts on the Flyers board on Philly.com. That was the worst board I have seen.

Maybe we won't have Buffalo Dick & some of the other trolls on this site. Thanks to Digityman for starting it.
