Pittsburgh is OFFICIALLY OUT on Zach Parise. He will not be joining the Penguins.

1 year 4.5

As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun. Jaromir Jagr has agreed to one-year, $4.5-million deal with the Dallas Stars.
-
Is there anyone else hoping that Jagr returns or Doan signs instead of Ryan, Parise or Nash?

Tim P reporting we offered Suter and Parise 10+ years

Update: Rags and Laughs out

Hearing NYR are out of running for Justin Schultz. Not going to NYC.
TOR also out on Justin Schultz.

Whatever can we do?

Oskars Bartulis (PHI) and Eric Boulton (NJD) as well as Armstrong (TOR) on unconditional ($125) waivers for buyout purposes.

Nothing to see anymore

And the young defenceman has narrowed down his list of suitors to the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers.

Nevermind, I found the info I was looking for.
Sorry dude I didn't see this until now.
But it says something when Schenn was ranked higher than JVR at one point
-
I clicked on your link and all I see is a roster list.
Please explain why their is a log jam at RW?
Why do you insist on putting players on their off wings- on the same line no less (Read / Schenn)?
I have more to say, but let us start with those first questions.
http://rotoworld.com/teams/depth-charts/NHL.aspx
Go to Flyers. They have Read as a LW and Schenn as a RW. I'm basing it off that list
-
As far as wings go, I was basing it off of the depth chart here
http://rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nhl/phi/philadelphia-flyers
I can't see the Flyers moving Danny B to wing, which creates a logjam.
Maybe you do

Doom- I expect better from you. While I think Jagr should be re-signed (I am the minority), Voracek will become the heir (though I am not sold on that combination). For me personally, I go after Shane Doan for a 3 year 12m contract to ride out his career. He plays all game situations, tough as nails, 35 y/o, and plays 19+ minutes a night. He was born to be a Flyer and it would be nice to see him come home to nest.
Secondly, Schenn already split his time between center and wing (left).
Here is how I see it (sans a FA RW signing):
Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek
Schenn-Couturier-Briere
Wellwood-Talbot-Simmonds
Zolniercyk-Read-xxxx?
I am just not sure that Voracek is the right skill set to go with Giroux. Doan however is and we shuffle the deck chairs again.
I'm not feeling those lines
Hartnell-G-(Jagr or free agent signing)
Simmonds-Briere-Voracek
Read-Couturier-Schenn
Wellwood-Talbot-Sestito
If they don't sign anyone, I think they'd move Schenn up to line 1, Sestito to line 3 and Rinaldo to line 4, IMO. I don't see Lavy pulling Briere out of the C spot yet and also think Couts and Read are excellent together.
-
Poor Gostisbehere. He lost his thread
-
I don't disagree that he has the potential to slip but at 900,000 he's way more valuable to our team than a draft pick, as a 40+ point player, elite penalty killer, etc.
Especially because he had some great chemistry with Couts when given the opportunity

What I meant was Schenn AND Toronto's first for Bob, Read and JVR.....that would have been a pretty sweet deal for us...I do love Read's game, but you have to admit, a lot of return.
Not enough IMO. Read gives you 47 points for 900,000k and can really get better from there.
I would have done Schenn and TOR pick for Bob, JVR and our first
-
Read is arguably the best value on the team.
I wouldn't trade him for a future first, no.
-
I am 100% for this trade. I think it's a win-win for both teams.
http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/luke_schenn/
Schenn recieved an 8.5 with a B probability.
http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/james_vanriemsdyk/
JVR recieved an 8 with a B probability.
So while JVR may be perceived as having higher upside, the HF scouting people felt differently.
Schenn gives us a young, physical defender with plenty of room to grow.
Isn't afraid to fight to stick up for teammates
I'm also really worried about JVR's injury history. He had a concussion, abdominal tear, fractured foot, etc.

Yeah, but in fairness to my fellow Flyer fans, Carle is a bit of a pusssy.
And an American as well. I don't really blame Flyer fans for wanting a 6'4" behemoth from Humboldt or wherever. They clear a lot of space and inflict a lot of pain. What's not to like?
That's too small. I want SHAQ ON SKATES!!

His left leg will be amputated next week.
Unfortunately, it's the right leg giving him problems.
I used the right font, right? ;-)
FRK
What about his hearing problem?

I like the "get" side of your proposal, but Schenn in the "give" basket kills it for me. I like Hartnell, but substitute him for Schenn in that scenario and I'd seriously think about it. That would also help even out the cap numbers exchanged....
But if there's any truth to part one of @jkearse123 's post, he won't come here.....sheesh Nash, Suter, Hamhuis, what do we smell or something. One of the shirts the handed out during the Pens series said "Guess what, we don't like you either" (after Crosby made a few choice comments). I'm gonna keep that shirt handy!
Believe me, Jkearse123 hopes so. I hate the concept of acquiring Nash.

Twitter rumors this morning
Hockey Insiderr
#CBJ and the #Flyers had a #DEAL on the table, AGREED which would have sent #NASH to Philly. BUT everything is OFF the table. Guess WHY?
10:21 AM 17 JUN 12
#NASH decided to #VETO the trade at the last moment (as of last night). He REFUSES to be traded to the #FLYERS. Not now, not EVER.
I can confirm 100% #CONFIRMED that Nash will NOT waive his NMC to join the #Flyers. Philly has MAX 72 hrs to convince Nash or#NODEAL. #CBJ
But I tend to trust DLeed a lot more than Hockey Insiderr
Hate this word, but from separate “sources”… they’ve told me Rick Nash will end up a New York Ranger 9:56 AM 17 JUN 12
