This thread is hilarious.  Fire the coach?  Are you kidding me?  What the hell do you want Torts to do?  In my opinion he's got more out of this team than Vigneault did at any point in the last 2 years.  They play for him, they just suck.  I've been a huge defender of the Sedins throughout their entire careers, but I'm done.  Daniel has not been the same since Duncan Keith's disgusting elbow, that basically went unpunished and  don't think the "old Daniel" is ever coming back.  Garrison has a groin problem, but his contract is garbage.  Kevin Bieksa is a legendary contract year player an has been brutal this year.  Edler was the one piece to move and Gillis hits him with a NTC, he's been garbage.  Burrows has had one of the worst seasons I've ever seen by anyone, but at least he plays his ass off.  Jannik Hansen.... Garbage.  Just go through the lineup, it's insane.  Yeah, a lot of injuries but this team wasn't going anywhere before that started.  Ryan Kesler is the only guy on this team I'm against trading, he's burnt out as he's been carrying every as[ect pf this team all year playing 30 minutes a night, yet he's still producing.  

This team needs a huge shakeup of the core, and it start with the firing of Mike Gillis, who has done a pathetic job with this team.

For what it's worth ownership wants no part of buying Luongo out either. There's also a possibility the Canucks move bothh goalies and try to start fresh and go after a guy like Smith in free agency.

I have spoken to Luongo, several times. He follows me on twitter and we dm quite frequently. As it stands Schneider is in play. But he also told me he doesn't care and does not want to play here anymore. He is pissed at how he's been handled. According the him Gillis has never once approached him regarding staying here and moving Schneider either.

There's also a sweet rumour, which in my opinion is true if you know anything about the guy and his exploits that Ryan Kesler banged Cory Schneider's fiance.

Take it for what it's worth, I'm aware you'll probably call bullshit on me, but I have no reason to make any of this up.

I can confirm that luongo wants no part of playing for the Canucks again. Even if Schneider gets dealt. His agent has told him that the Schneider thing is true, but he has not once been approached by Gillis about staying here.

Bieksa should be your Canucks guy, followed very closely by Jason Garrison.

Some people in here really have no friggen clue what they are talking about. Luongo was never benched in Boston, he got pulled once. He also had two shutouts and was arguably the only reason they were in the series. Luongo is better than Bryz, always has been and it's not even up for debate. I understand you guys probably don't see him play too much but come on.

Cause gm's admit to rumours... And Luongo was fine in the playoffs last year, not his fault the team no showed. He was was also fantastic despite a couple games in the cup run, and posted 2 shutouts in the finals, where his team no showed. don't let the media brainwash you, great goalie... You guys should be all over this.

With Luongo, Flyers will be favourites, without a doubt. I would love to see this happen. If Luongo's gotta go, might as well go to the team I used to cheer for every year when the Canucks didn't make the playoffs... Not to mention, screwing the Leafs at the same time would be hilarious AND Philly has way better talent to offer and more of it.

Each team has a couple guys who does it constantly, there are guys on the canucks who are woe as there are on every team in the league. The Sedins do not belong anywhere near this list. Sure, they were bad against Boston, but only because there was so much crap going on and the refs weren't calling any of it. As for Dustin Brown, he was diving all over hell during the playoffs, it was disgusting. Not sure how you can say he cooled it down. Jonathan Quick can be placed atop the goalie category, but only because Dwayne Roloson is finished.

Luong's only a 5mil cap hit, it's not the "monster" contract everyone makes it out to be. The term of it is the only thing.

Just wondering if we're watching the same series here... While the Kings have played well, they have only scored one even strength to date. That Canucks costly mistakes ending up in the back of the net is killing them. Also, how do you figure Luongo gets lost? He has been the best player on the ice this series for either team, he is getting no support whatsoever. If Schneider starts its a panic move to try and get the team to wake up, but it may be too late because as pathetic is it is.... If Danny doesn't come bank, they may be getting swept.
