I wasn't happy with the Flyers taking him at the spot. I would have preferred to take Maatta or another D. I am trying to find a bright side to the pick.

This kid had quite the impressive offensive stats in Midget, 55 goals in 76 games, and they said he turned it up last year near the end of the Season. I think he will improve offensively this year. He sounds though like a Talbot kind of guy, although I know they compared him to Richards.

Don't want to sound stupid here, but we signed this guy as a rotating 6th guy or and AHL call-up guy.

I would actually appreciate having Carcillo right about now. I be more excited for him then I am for Fedotenko and Gervais.

So is this it everyone....no Doan...or anyone else....this is our team? So we have all agreed the Homer will not be making any other moves. I would like to see players added for free. No trade please for Nash or Ryan. Like u guys said. Keep our young guys, develop them. I still think we have a pretty good team, and I think the will still be fun to watch.

I watched him in the QMJHL for a few years with Bathurst, and back then he was considered a offensive defenseman. He stats aren't too spectacular. I am not overly excited about him, Bourdon could be just as good or better.

I agree with u that it is great we didn't get on the hook for 26 years and 200 million. I want Doan badly as well. Do u think we should leave the defense alone now and go with Bourdon, Lilja or Kubina? I like the Coaliachovo(sp?) idea. I would like to get a guy that can try and replace Carle's pts from the backend.

So why didn't Carle sign with TB on July 1? Was this a SCREW U FLYERS? After we don't get Suter he signs with TB. Did we lose out on the bidding? Don't get it. I am actually disappointed by this. .

Yeah same here. I will be upset if this is supposed to be a move to replace Carle.

Yeah....I was drinking the Suter Kool-aid earlier, but now I have come to my senses. I don't think this guy has done anything in his career that warrants that type of money. Sign Carle....I am really starting to appreciate him.

I guess I am guilty of number 2 on that list. I was checking out Suter's stats and they are relatively comparable to Carle. I am not a Carle hater. I do get frustrated with his gaffs, but he does handle the puck a lot and his gaffs seem to stand out to me for some reason. I guess I have in my head, for some reason, that Parise and Suter are a package deal and I want Parise. Has it been said anywhere that these guys are going to the same team? I think I heard the rumour, both to the Penguins, which I would hate. I would be happy to get Parise and resign Carle. If we don't get Parise or Suter, I would love to resign Carle and go for Doan. The UFA list is getting smaller and smaller. I want things to get moving.

Yes I agree. Weber would be amazing. Would u be for getting Parise and resigning Carle for a year, or passing on both Parise and Suter. Suter was quoted as saying there is no timetable for him signing with someone, but we all know he is waiting on Parise. This is driving me nuts waiting for the Parise domino to fall so everyone else get on with their signings.

Yeah we have a lot of money tied up in some older guys...Briere, Timmonen and Pronger. That would free up a lot of money if those guys are done in another year or so.

I was thinking to myself that I hope his fiancee was from NJ, because couldn't Parise basically stay living where is now, but play in Philadelphia. Please forgive me for my ignorance with the geography. lol.
