  1. lol did you see what our 2nd line PP did last year? Even if cooter has PP time in Mtl he aint gonna be scoring anything huge.. it would be pretty sick to see him play with Plekanec tho. Anyways he doesn't have anyone to guide him in Mtl like he does in philly and he would be playing with alot more pressure over here then he is over there. hes still hitting average of 15-20min ice time with philly playing with Talbot which is a perfect player to set example. on alot of shifts he still gets to play with Simmonds, Briere and even Voracek sometimes. Flyers have one of the best offense in the NHL. so if your going to compare having little bit more time on PP in montreal to all the advantages he has with philly even if hes not on the PP. He is still in a wayyyy better position with philly to get more points. Don't forget also the best defensemen from the other teams will mostly check the 2 first lines which is Giroux and Brieres lines so Cooter has alot more chances against 3rd pair defensemen then the top pairs. For the trade part ive said it like 20 times. I wouldnt mind giving up Subban for Cooter because in Mtl we have a huge lack of big centermen of his caliber. And we also have plenty of very good defensemen prospects coming up like Beaulieu, Tinordi, Thrower, Ellis ect. so giving Subban away might hurt us for next year but after that we would be able to replace him. Flyers need a defensemen also so that would obviously give them a huge favor. so the bottom line, Mtl would be the ones losing in this trade for these reasons 1- Top line defensemen are always more important than a forward 2- Subban has higher ceiling because of his potential and talent 3- Cooter just played one year, so he hasnt really proven anything yet.
  2. Are you reading all of my posts because i think your missing a couple.... If you wouldn't be blind you'd notice that i wrote. If Cooter becomes better than J.Staal which is possible even tho he still needs to prove alot more. Then yea i wouldnt mind giving Subban in return because we lack Big centermen. I also wrote that Habs have alot of depth at Defense in the future so I wouldn't mind sacrificing one of our top defensemen. But by the looks of your comment you seem to be ignorant not understanding the fact that i was trying to show all of you Biased flyer fans that Subban is more important and better to a team then Cooter is right now and will most likely continue to be in the future because of all of the aspects that ive been writing 20x on this whole discussion. its funny how its all flyer fans that would refuse this trade because they think couturier is better. while all other people would never do it because they know how important subban is for a team. But you all seem to mix up the player with their respective teams and the roles they play. You all know that if the roles would be swiched, Cooter would have never been as impressive with habs as he was with flyers. Subban on the other hand would have prob looked 5x better then he is with a well organized team that has amazing offense.
  3. exactly people in philly want subban. people in montreal don't want cooter for subban lolll
  4. Drew Doughty, yea he was a champ. and also was the offensive players infront of him and his goalie.. listen i never said either that Subban right now is as effective as Weber, i said in 2 years from now. 2 years is a hell lot of experience for a guy like Subban and a hell lot of maturity. anyways you got your opinion i got mine. I really just don't think you realize how much aspects this defensemen has. He's got major speed, amazing slap shot, amazing wrist shot, amazing hands to dangle and deke, he gives alot of solid hits. he reads the play well to make a great first pass, or pass in the offensive zone. He's got the grit and attitude to make players get pissed and get them out of their game. Buddy, what more can you want from a defensemen!?. He has it all!. 2 years from now he wont be that same selfish or risky defensemen he used to be a year ago.. He's going to be the Pillar defensemen for the Habs. Yes he will be in the top defensemen of the league. He's got everything to be, so why not? his coach isn't Jacque Martin anymore.
  5. When did i say Subban will be BETTER than Weber??? i said he will PROB be as EFFECTIVE as Weber is for a team. See how your putting words in my mouth that i never even said?..... Drew Doughty doesn't have Webers physical skills to clear the crease and doesn't have as much Leadership but he is prob as effective as Weber is for a team, just in a different way, different style.. Subban can easily become as good as Drew Doughty is in 2 years. You can't deny that he can't.. Now stop commenting **** to try and act smart, your the one thats digging a hole for yourself.. in 2 years from now with all the team changes including Coach, Staff, Markov and a lot more stability on every line making Subban have a lot less pressure and a lot more confidence, with a lot more maturity will prob make him even better then we expect. You just don't realize all of these factors.
  6. yea he has couple more years to do in the AHL for sure... He really isn't ready for the NHL yet... i think he will become between Hall Gill and Pronger type player in the future years. He does play with a lot of grit, he hits hard and fights against anyone to protect his teamates. Sometimes plays dirty to make a name for himself. He has decent slapper. Can make good passing plays which is obviously going to be a major plus over Hall Gill offensively. His skating is bad right now for sure but if he gets better skating mobility he will definitely be great for a second liner defensemen in the NHL. Patience is the only key for him right now.
  7. Pacioretty - Desharnais - Leblanc Bournival - Galchenyuk - Gallagher Collberg - Eller - Moen Prust - Dumont - Schultz Gorges - Subban Tinordi - Beaulieu Emelin - Ellis id figure you have to put Desharnais on center, i mean if you don't your prob taking off 25% of affectiveness. You also need to keep him with Pacio because of Chemistry. Galchenyuk is our future #1 Center so you also need to keep him at that position. There for Eller, Leblanc and Bournival have to be one of the 3rd Centermen and the other 2 need to be transferred as wingers. obviously they are not players that will play on the 4th line. I put Eller as the third center because he has shown that he plays best at that position. Leblanc played as a winger and did very well IMO last year with pleky for his first year in the NHL. so id keep him there. Maybe putting him 1st liner is a bit too much for him but you have to balance out the size on each line so there really isnt any other place to put him. I don't think Bournival will be better than Leblanc so thats why i kept him on the 2nd to also balance the size on that line. Eller with Collberg looks pretty decent including the fact that they practically come from the same area Sweden and Denmark. they both have very good talent especially Collberg so it might help Eller stack up some points. Putting Moen with them gives them a good big grinder to make some space and to add some size on the line aswell. Now the 4th line i put Dumont as center playing with Prust and Schultz. Making Dumont play with 2 fighters is very good because he wont be scared to play Gritty and be a hell of a pest on every shift. Having a style of play like Max Talbot is perfect for a 4th line letting him stir a lot of **** and then let his wingers finish off the job, especialy against Bruins, Flyers, Leafs and Sens. Now on Defense i don't really need to explain myself i think the lines are obviously what everyone is expecting them to be in the future. Except for Maybe Ellis playing with Emelin, but hey, you never know what he can do. ive only heard great things about him. I think Diaz will get traded because of his size and age. He does have skill but hes 26yrs old with practically no NHL experience.. I rather see Ellis or Thrower. And this is just a little fun im having also. Putting what i think is best but obviously the lines wont look like this because of the UFA signings in the next years and trades Habs might make, prob bringing other veteran players to the team.
  8. Personally I don't like Rene Bourque. His work ethic is bad with the Canadiens. If we would trade him what would we get in return ? Montreal need Gritty, Character players.
  9. then why would you comment something like this if its not even close to being the same trade values.... this is a subban for cooter trade, and before you wrote that you never said it was only going to take Cooter and Simmonds for Weber.. Thats fine, but please don't write ''who would you rather take between Subban and Weber'' if both have totally different trade Values. Your going to have to give practically double the value of Cooter and Simmonds for Weber. Fine by me if your willing to get rid of all these amazing prospects for Weber go ahead. IMO i'd go for Subban and only give Cooter and Simmonds then giving practically something like Cooter, B.Schenn, Voracek and a 2nd rounder for Weber. Your going to completely destroy all your future for Weber. As for Subban youl be giving a part of your future but atleast youl save Schenn, Voracek and a draft pick. And trust me in 2 years from now Subban will prob be as affective as Weber is for a team and will cost a lot less... Nashville are going to ask for a Major overpayment if they are going to trade Weber. Hes wayyyy to important for them right now. So forget about even thinking of having Weber lollll Holmgren will never give what Nashville will aks for.
  10. not to break your little dreaming ideas but Nashville would NEVER accept coots and simmonds for Weber... i don't know what kind of fantasy island you guys live on but this aint LA LA LAND... this is the NHL. for Weber, Nashville would ask minimum [Coots, B.Schenn, Voracek and a 2nd rounder]. if not, they would have just let him go and take the 4 first rounders they could have got for not matching the offer... who would be dumb enough to give a 26 yr old Top defensemen of the national hockey league for a prospect who didnt even prove anything yet that was drafted 8th overall... cmon guys its basic logic.. even a non hockey fan would know this... please take off the BIASSSS GOGGLESSSSSSSSSS!
  11. I can understand you maybe thinking Pietrangelo making the team before Subban, but every other player on that list you named is Never going to get picked before Subban. Staal great well rounded player but doesn't have the allstar material to pierce team Canada over a player that is easily more dominant than him. Phaneuf finishing -10 last year, i don't even have to say anything on that you already know with that stat hes bad defensively and hes 27yrs old so idk when he will change but at that age after all these NHL years of experience he should have got much better a long time ago.. PK Subban is already a great defensemen hes got more offensive abilities than 3/4 of the defensive players that are going to make team canada. Exactly like Doughty 2 years ago. Now not only is Subban actually getting good defensively but his progression for attitude and selfishness is getting a lot better every year so i think by the time next team canada is here he will easily be one of the best Canadian defensemen. Hes also getting Therrien as coach next year and Markov is back to give him some tools and take some pressure off his shoulders for the next 2 years, that will make him a lot better. Coburn is a joke compared to every single player you named on your Hall of Famer list lollll. not to be a prick but hes got nooooo talent what so ever offensively. You prob see him different because he plays with philly which is the best offensive team but im telling you now you are overrating a 4th D-man wayyyyy too much. He's a decent player but team canada material over Myers, Pietrangelo and Subban? Seriously!? buddy you have to take those bias goggles off and be realistic here. Myers and Pietrangelo will make the team 100x before Coburn does...
  12. your absolutely right if i was a GM id pick anyone of those players before Subban. especially Coburn.
  13. just to prove your point loll
  14. @jammer2 put it this way if couturier doesnt become a better player then Jordan Staal in the future. I'd never trade Subban for Couturier even if Simmonds came with him.. But i'd take the risk and hope Couturier becomes better than J.S. just because Habs have such a huge Lack of big Centermen.
  15. Stop with his ego...... that was in his first 2 years... This year he was wayyyy more mature then before, Ego isnt his concern anymore the more years he plays the more he will learn and develop alot more maturity. Thats all you people can say about him is ''ego, selfishness and attitude'' because you can't accept the fact that his attitude goes with his talent. The guy is Dominant and he will be alot more in the near future especially with a stable well organized team that wants to play. His attitude will make him even better when playing against other teams. it will make players on the opposite team lose patience and distract them from their game making them pissed and not concentrated. they will be too busy trying to get subban while the whole team has alot more freedom to make points. Youl see now that habs have an amazing coach for young players in Therrien, how Subban will play. Your still not realizing how much talent and potential this kid has. If handled in the right hands he will put Couturier in his back pocket if he becomes what hes supposed to become.. Subban will play over Myers if ever Pietrangelo makes team Canada. Subban is a Bomb thats ready to blow and once he does..... hes going to make your jaw hit the ground.
  16. ''if'' the other guy taps the puck .... ''IF'' is a big word man! i could say the same when couturier scored his hat trick goal vs pens. IF the defensemen was at his place couturier woudnt have scored loll.. i'm ready to bet you 100$ Subban makes team canada next olympics! so will Carey Price!! im not sure couturier will because of age and because of the depth in forwards Canada has.. Taking nothing off Cooter but there are so much brute talent coming up for Canada next olympics that it would be practically impossible to choose who will make it, out of all those amazing prospects... Weber - Doughty Keith - Seabrook Subban - Letang Myers. that wouldnt be too bad would it haha
  17. tell me what defensemen does this to get his hat trick goal hahah
  18. Yea but you forget the fact that Subban plays 27min per match and is on the top line of one of the most shittiest teams in the NHL today. we didn't even have a coach last year and Markov was injured so there was absolutely no tools for Subban... Even our organization was a disaster and no players wanted to play, Plekanec ended up having one of his worse seasons because every line kept changing... trust me if you would have put Cooter in the Habs last year, you wouldnt even have heard nothing about him... Put Subban on the 2 line pair of defensemen on the flyers and you'd realize that playing with absolutely no pressure and having Pronger and other veterans support him every match would make him look like one of the best defensemen of the whole NHL with his talent... what you saw in the playoffs with pittsburgh was a complete free for all so i hope your not putting that in consideration. anybody on the team could have scored over 8 goals that whole series with all the brawls and ridiculous **** that was happening... Its funny how Cooter scored so much vs Pens but barely did vs Devils.. And that series was the perfect example to show you that Goalies and Defensemen is more important than forward players in playoffs.
  19. Subban would be 2x more important than cooter for a team to win a cup. A 1st line quarter back is always more important than a forward. Except if your talking about players like Crosby or Malkin.. Then it can be arguable. But right now you are talking about a 19 yr old 3rd liner with the expectations of him being a 2nd line. far most like Jordan Staal. he hasent even proved anything yet. what he showed was amazing for a prospect i can admit but again playing on the 3rd and 4th line on the flyers can be tricky because its one of the best offensive teams in the NHL. Maybe Couturier will become a Jordan Staal and hit the 30-40 goals with philly but then again a guy like Subban is very rare with talent that has the potential to be one of the best defensemen in the league. he can easily be as good as Drew Doughty. All you need is time and patience like almost 85% of all of the greatest defensemen of the NHL. I'm telling you if Montreal did trade Subban for Couturier and Simmonds and Subban becomes what hes supposed to become and Cooter is just like Jordan Staal. even with Simmonds, Montreal would lose in this trade. You guys just don't realize how important a 1st liner defensemen quarter back is in the NHL. You win cups with a goalie and defense not with 2nd or 3rd liner forward players.. Ps: sorry for the attitude before guys.. it just was annoying to see people giving me reasons like attitude and mistakes to make subban look so invaluable.. and make couturier look like sidney crosby caliber loll
  20. wowwwwwwww Subban was the only 1st line defensemen on the team!!!!!! u expect him to be a the most phenominal defensemen in the history of hockey at 23 yrs old??? buddy you don't even know what your saying.... talking about we fired cunneyworth because hes not french LOLLL. we fired him because he never been coach his whole life and Therrien is MUCH better!! and just for saying ''you dont see any growth in subban'' makes me not even want to respond to your ignorant comments anymore.. Couturier hasnt proven jack yet!!! Hes playing with the best offensive team in the NHL, ofcourse the guy is going to look good playing on the 4th line... even if hes 19 and he has PLENTY of potential.. he still needs to PROVE he can go as high as all of you bias flyers fans say he will. what in the hell do you think subban will do with the flyers if he was there?? hed prob end up with a +/- of +40 and 40 assists 20 goals... your saying that Subban makes mistakes but you keep ignoring the fact that he has one of the most shittiest teams infront of him with no coach no good veterans and no guidelines from above.. any player in the NHL even the best defensemen in the world would end up being viewed horrible with a team like the habs. No player was giving any emotion for winning in this team... everything was falling apart. How do you want a player to look good if his whole team is disorganized and playing like they dont even care... Anyways im not going to argue with you people. if you think your precious Couturier is worth more then think what u want but please don't start commenting on my post if your going to give me these horrible reasons
  21. omg. Ofcourse coots doesnt make that much mistakes. he doesnt play on the top line with the whole team pressure on his shoulders. he doesnt play 27 min per match. when coots plays on the 1st PP and on the first line over giroux then MAYBE we will start comparing him to Subban but before that he can stay on his little 4th line and play with absolutely no pressure like any other player would do. All you see of Subban is his mistakes lolll ofcourse hes going to make mistakes the guy plays on the first line and plays 27min per match.... hes only 23 yrs old and thats amazingly young for a defensemen ! if you would actually know your hockey you would know that it can take up to 27 yrs old for an amazing defencemen to be at his peek. and yes i will use Subban and Chelios easily in the same sentence. you talking about all this little rucus ... Habs are Horrible... If couturier was in the habs hed prob make 10x more mistakes because hed prob be playing on the 2nd line. Don't go judging a player for the teams failures.... Subban is the only 1st liner defencemen we got.. you think Diaz Emelin weber are good for his development ????.. the day couturier carries the team on his shoulders then ill maybe consider him as valuable but before that please stop with this pointless talk...
  22. I'd never give Subban for only Cooter lolll u nuts? Flyers would need to give something extra with cooter for Subban. Youre a flyers fan and it shows... youre rating Cooter as if he would be a Malkin or Stamkos caliber player which is far from happening. the comparison is like saying that Jordan Staal is more valuable than Drew Doughty. ANY GM in the NHL would take Drew Doughty before Jordan Staal and if you do not agree with this then i shouldnt even argue anymore because theres absolutely no point lolll. And yes Couturier would be playing in the American league if he was with Habs. Habs would make sure his development wouldnt screw up like a lot of their other players did. Its easier to develop a young prospect when hes got good veterans around him like Talbot, Hartnell, Briere... Habs are far from having those types a players on the team. Flyers took a chance and since hes been playing with Vets that bring him alot of tools to his game he ended up being very good for his age in the NHL.. Still doesnt mean, hes going to be a franchise player and it still dont make him more valuable than Subban. Put Subban in the flyers and watch what he will do.. Trust me with a team like flyers, Subban is going to look like Chris Chelios in his prime years! loll
  23. first of all most of all the greatest defensemen started reaching their peek hockey point at the age of 27. its always longer for a defensemen to reach his prime then a forward. 2nd of all your ABSOLUTELY wrong about him standing out because our team is bad?... its extremely horrible for a defensemen playing with a horrible team because it makes HIM look BAD.. Lets say we switch, Cooter plays for Habs and Subban plays for philly. You think cooter will look good playing for the habs like he does with philly LOL ? be honest? on the other Hand Subban would look 3x better playing for philly because of their amazing offense and he has that Philly attitude pissing players off making them lose their game concentration. If we switch the roles around, NEVER would ANYBODY in philly wanna trade Subban for Sean Couturier.. Now if Cooter was playing with us he would have still be playing in the Junior league. So basically its totally the other way around. You overrate Cooter because hes playing in a MUCH better team where they can easily take the oppertunity to bring a young player up to play with Talbot and other VERY good veterans to make him look ALOT better then what he really is. But again im not saying he isnt good all im saying is that Subban is more important for a team then Cooter is. Cooter isnt a Malkin, Stamkos or Weber caliber and i doubt he ever will be. But Subban can easily reach that caliber in his prime. Cooter will be one extremely good player but i doubt he will become allstar or as Affective as Subban..
