NHL HHOF Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Evgeni Malkin https://www.nhl.com/player/evgeni-malkin-8471215 Evgeni Malkin has played 16 seasons in the NHL, with three shortened seasons (2012-2013, 2019-2020, 2020-2021), and no cancelled seasons. He scored 50 goals in one season only once in his career. He currently stands at 444 regular season goals. He needs to play 4 more seasons to make it to 20, and score 56 goals to make it to 500. 56 goals divided by 4 seasons is 14 goals per season, but Evgeni Malkin is still capable of scoring 25 goals or more per season. Depending on injuries, it will either be Evgeni Malkin or Patrick Kane, who becomes the 48th member of the NHL 500+ goals club, and the other will be the 49th member. Quote

NHL HHOF Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) Evgeni Malkin has 16 goals so far this season, while Patrick Kane only has 8 goals so far this season. Evgeni Malkin now stands at 460 goals, while Patrick Kane stands at 438 goals and having some hip problems. It is now safe to say that Evgeni Malkin will become the 48th member of the NHL 500+ goals club, and it will definitely happen next season, if not by the end of this season. 40 more goals for Evgeni Malkin.
