jammer2
The Red Wings just released their roster for the annual Traverse City prospects tourny. It includes players from the past 4 drafts, including 4 from this past draft. Very impressive team they have put together here... http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Mark-Spizzirri/Red-Wings-roster-for-the-Traverse-City-prospect-tourney-released/77/53639#.Uh_bLX_d4uc The player on a amateur try out is Jordan Maletta, a former Windsor Spitfire. He did not get selected as an 18 year old, but is eligible for the 2014 Draft as a 19 year old. The Flyers did the same thing, inviting 18 year old Thomas Hyka, who eventually got selected in the 2013 draft. Jordan's a big kid, 6-3 and 210 lbs, but never got untracked on the offensive side of the equation. It does give the Wings an inside track on the kid, and gives the scouts a better take on where to select him next year should they remain interested. He was dealt from Windsor to Niagara at the trade deadline, just to give him a change of scenery. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=117011
jammer2
A article from the hockeywriters web site, speculating on young tender Petr Mrazek and his chances to crack the Wings line up. I had no idea Jonas Guffer had such brutal stats last year. Time to bury this guy in the AHL. http://thehockeywriters.com/petr-mrazek-hunting-for-a-red-wings-roster-spot/?utm_source=buffer&utm_campaign=Buffer&utm_content=bufferde8db&utm_medium=twitter
