yave1964
Over the last two weeks the Panthers seem to be getting it. They have: Beaten the Red Wings twice, not a great feat but beaten them none the less. Won seven of their past eight (Really). Won their last five in a row including games against the playoff contending Canadiens, Capitals and Leafs. Established the young guys, Bjugstad is looking like a solid young power forward, Barkov looks like the right choice as the second pick in the draft behind Mackinnon, Huberdeau is turning into a player right before the eyes of all nine fans of the organization. With Clemenson back and Thomas and young Markstrom in the mix the goaltending is coming around. They are single digits out of a playoff spot, having caught fire when they dealt Versteeg for Hayes and Dylan Olsen. The club looks like the kids are leading the way, not just a bunch of stray veterans like they were a few years ago when they accidently won their division because nobody else wanted to. Looking good in Florida, solid defense and skilled young forwards backing up veteran goaltending. I doubt it is going to amount to much but they have quietly won seven of eight, five in a row and every club deserves mention every so often.
