Honest Bender
Overview of the Predators 2017 Entry Draft results Round 1 R - Eeli Tolvanen - 30th Overall from Sioux City of USHL "This goal-scoring winger is a real offensive threat…plays with speed, intensity and skills…elusive with the puck on his stick…likes to shoot and has an impressive accurate shot with an absolutely deadly release…positions himself correctly to be open for the one-timer…a smooth, agile skater and covers ground at high rates of speed in transition…quick thinker who doesn’t stop moving his feet…good speed when carrying the puck and can accelerate quickly" - Future Considerations Round 2 L - Grant Mismash - 61st Overall from USNDT of USHL "To me, he's got a little more of a speed game and power game. I think Grant, when he's really wheeling and he stops, starts, and gets to the neutral zone, blue line to blue line with a lot of speed, that adds a tremendous amount of momentum to his game. So he's got to be a guy who continuously is on the hunt. And when he is, he's an extremely effective player." - John Wroblewski, USNDT Round 3 D - David Farrance - 92nd Overall from USNDT of USHL "Mobile defenseman with terrific skills and high-end passing skills. Displays excellent vision and has the ability to throw the home run stretch pass to a teammate with accuracy. Very good on the power play at moving the puck to the right option. Quick and precise in retrieval in his end, and a power play generator who reads his passing options but also has a rocket from the point" - Bill Placzek Round 4 None - Traded to NJD for Vernon Fiddler during 16017 season. Round 5 G - Tomas Vomacka - 154th Overall from Corpus Christi of NAHL "In 2016-17, the 6 feet 3 inch Vomacka finished with a .923 save percentage. His performance during his first year in the state earned him NAHL South Division Goaltender of the Year, All-South Division Team, and USHL All-Rookie Team" - Corey Francis Round 6 C - Pavel Koltygin - 176th Overall from Drummondville of QMJHL "Has a good combination of size that he knows how to use and a real knack for driving the net and scoring. Good instincts in the offensive zone and can find the open ice and get into a good shooting position where he can release a good, accurate shot. Developing an NHL calibre wrist shot that he puts all his weight into." - Hockyenow.ca Round 7 D - Jacob Paquette - 216th Overall from Kingston of OHL "He’s a big defenceman who protects his blue-line. He’s difficult to beat one-on-one off the rush using his smarts, active stick, positioning and ability to close gaps quickly, not to mention a “have no fear mentality” to the physical game. And he can eat up big minutes. He plays calm under pressure and is very good when the opposition is on the forecheck." - Dominic Tiano
Honest Bender
The rumors of Eeli Tolvanen signing with Jokerit with the KHL have been confirmed. Hopefully it's the best choice for his development, but I have my doubts. http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2017/07/05/preds-2017-first-rounder-tolvanen-will-play-in-the-khl-next-season/

Honest Bender
I think Jhonas Enroth was the goalie. Still, youngest player to score a hat-trick in the KHL. The 18 year old record for goals in a KHL season is 7, so he's just about halfway there after one game lol Funny enough, just yesterday his coach was saying that he's one of the best prospects he's ever seen and compared his goal scoring ability to Patrik Laine... I guess he knew what he was talking about.
Honest Bender
Tolvanen with another hatty today... Ties the 18 year old goal scoring record and he's already I think 5th in points for 18 year olds in the KHL history. 12 points in 11 games so far and still 49 games left in the season for him to break more records.
