  1. We were behind the net. He was grabbing, clutching and slashing for the puck. He got up on my body, and darn the luck my elbow came up on his head.

I think a healthy respect is coming between us...

Of course I was tied up on the boards and hand passed the puck, as well. Guess I am a dirty player...

  2. @bunnyman,

I voted other. If you are not a professional or playing competitively, then retaliation should be your last choice. I would let the other guy know that he cheap spotted you and you have to get up in the morning and go to work. An injury because of him playing cheap isn't cool.

I skate with the same group of guys 2-3 times a week. The guy who organizes our group won't stand for that kind of stuff.

This is where the wannabe NHL-er in all of us enters. I have to put that guy back deep within so he doesn't come out.

If he trips me again, there will be a stern conversation.

The way he laced the stick between my legs DEFINITELY said trip, by the way.

  3. Bunny - it sounds like you've got yourself a little too worked up over nothing. Trips happen. It's not a spear to the groin or an elbow to the face. Let it go and enjoy the game. if the same guy does something again, lay him out with a nice check.

I am worked up because I kinda let him get away with it. I did cross-check him a few times, but nothing that left a mark.

    I will exact my revenge!!!

  4. Wow ok so the past beat down he was your team mate????

And next time you'll make sure he's on the other side?????

Wow!!!! So are we sure the first trip wasn't an accident? Sucks to have to check the opposition and your teammates....that is a rough league there.

Not a teammate. But we are divided by dark and light sweaters. I will make certain he wears the opposite sweater as he was yesterday.

  5. I got a stick between the legs which resulted in my face on the ice. I ran after him, cross-checked him a few times. I was ready to cross-check his head and pound the crap out of him. I did make certain to tie him up a few times and even cross check him on the wrists a couple of times...

I guess it's all starting to come back to me.
