I'm sure I'm wrong, but I think the contract depends on playing 82 games not playing one game in the ahl. So if the season is shortened, cap hit goes down.

Debbies are simply attacking the puck carrier during our PP and clogging up lanes, if we move the puck quickly and crisply we can overcome it. Instead we are flubbing passes turning the puck over in the offensive zone as a result of the pressure.

It may just be me, but it seems like all the passes are in the feet of the receiving player.

C'mon, really? The hit on Courturier was shoulder to shoulder as principal point of contact. Even your own announcers said so (something about the shoulder "saving" him).

And I guess the grossmann concussion was from a shoulder on shoulder clean hit. And I guess Malkin did not have time to stop before running into Bryz. Alot of players from all teams get away with dives trips, slashes, and other penalties, but I have never see so many head shots (and attempted head shots, see giroux couple months agogo uncalled. Well maybe Weber. Only pens fans can't see the crap he pulls.

They have to stop scoring first, it's screws up Laviolette's game plan of calling a time out I don't know why someone just doesn't take out Malkin's knee and be done with it, this guy is getting away with too much ****. Bryzgalov played a lot better but you can tell the Flyers missed Grossmann's minutes on defense. These guys have use game 6 as their game 7 because they don't want to go back to Pittsburgh for game 7.

The ****** thing is I will probably go to game 7 because sundays game is at 12:00 and they cant win afternoon games.

And, relevant to the thread, I haven't seen a lot of angles on the hit in question so it may be that nhl.com's video editors thought they had better video of other hits.

No they had plenty of angles. I just dont get why it would not be in the top ten.

Why would it not be on the nhl hits of the week. I just watched them and the kronwall hit was ten times better than the rest combined (if it was clean) and it wasn't even in the top ten. Did they just forget it happened? If it was a dirty hit, and they dis not want to put it in, that would make sence. I dont know. Just asking.

What does everyone think of the idea being floated of making the Winter Classic the All Star Game??

Not a bad idea. I think, with the change in the divisions next year, and everyone playing each other home and away, the winter classic should be between the prior years SC finals teams. It will be the "Rematch" if you will. Maybe at the winning teams "home field". This way it wont be the same teams year in year out (well i could be if my wishes came true). And maybe the money the winter brings will be a little more incentive to put a good team on the ice. To bad for teams like the blue jackets and islanders.

Schenn is starting to look a bit better and really energized the team with his big hit today.
