Why do Flyers beat writers continually write about topics that seem very remote at this point.  Look, I was one that wanted Weber in O&B and it never panned out.  The Preds matched because they had to.  This ship has sailed.  I really don't see the Flyers trying to acquire Weber in the off-season unless it costs us an arm and a leg.  Please tell me if I am blowing this out of proportion? 

We need more than him so I think better off getting 2 guys for his price who though?

People love to grumble and complain. They're playing we'll right now.

It's hard to complain about the guys we used to complain about.

Personally I'd like to see more from both SchennS and it would be great if Coots could keep his offensive game moving forward, but ultimately we're watching a team find itself. Even VLC is making things happen more (his injury wasn't nothing).

If you can get quality finishing (say JVR ha ha. Just kidding) or a really promising prospect or first eound pick for an excess d-man, do it, but otherwise you gotta just let it ride and see what this team grows into. We're witnessing their development. It's a work in progress and I hate to say it, but at this point it's really not bad a all.

That sounds a lot like Jerry Jones. I have often compared the Flyers to the Cowboys in terms of current management. I don't think this fan base will tolerate 3-4 yrs of sucking in order to get better. Very plausible and yes it has been discussed previously. Feel free to reopen the topic for discussion.

Three huge games i'll take 3 to 4 that would be nice!

The sad is I sat through most of the game. Came away with this if Wings few post hit's and few close misses they win! The kept us pinned in and even with out their stars they  know how to play with the puck. I would trade size to them if we could get either up front skill or d help. See that's what you need a AHL guys can step right and not look out of place

I am almost tempted to start a thread along these lines. I'd argue that if we've signed Mason long-term and could get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for renting out Emery, I'd do it. Mason may or may not be the answer but this signing tells me "other" wouldn't be playing more than 20 or so games a year if indeed Mason is the starter (OK, maybe 20-25 for other in the New NHL). At 1.8 million, Emery may be a costly backup. But I am no GM.

Agree Howie you always seem to be on the pulse. I'am  afraid fan won't wait for a 2yr rebuild but might have to happen. this summer UFA's look grim. I think if you have a defensive like Kyle Orton where you can control you might be ok! 

I would keep Couturier before Read but #14 would most likely get you more on the trade market. He's a potential shut down defensive forward that teams would like to have for a playoff run. Good that they at least made a somewhat sane contract for a goalie this season. 

just thinking out loud yes Read and there are few others but that's it. Other wise clean house again !!!!!!!!!!!!! Size and skating a must duh!
