I think Giroux is lost without Jagr. He should be doing more on his own now. Matt Read is the one real bright spot on the team right now. Simmonds looked like he hesitated on that last shot that was late going across the line. Not sure what the replays showed? Z should not have replaced Jagr on the first line.He is good at his role on the fourth line.

Let me go Dear Abby here. The family can only take advantage if you let them. If they get P.O.d at this there is not much you can do but realize Family always assumes that you have nothing better to do. At least it don't look better to them. Stay in an watch the events and do not I repeat do not answer the phone. Good Luck

Leave it alone. Start calling a penalty when the player nails the guy who reaches the puck first. It is a race not a demolition derby. If the officials can't do their job then it is time for the players to enforce it. I know penalties will result but isn't that the norm today?

Goals sell tickets but defense wins games. I read that somewhere.

Last year the short handed goal was the object of their affection and they were good at it. Personnel on this team look like they are getting closer to that objective. More defense near the end of periods is needed. nothing like a goal inside of the last second or minutes to give the opposition motivation for the next period. Clement said." more defensive minded is needed they are getting the goals. two goals is enough to win the game." I don't completely agree. in this NHL three goals is not a good lead it is just a good start.

If they can get the five on five defense looking as good as the PK that will be excellent .

He is a stinker. I used to keep track of them but too many now to waste time on. There was a time they had numbers and it was easier to check them out on their website. Gone are the days when the old timers let the teams play. Having said all that one of our guys drew a penalty when the opposing player hit his stick. Called slashing? I hope the two Refs did not make the trip to Carolina.

Off topic I am enjoying this forum and want to compliment you on it. No smack and no name calling is a relief. Keep up the good work and better yet let's hope the Flyers can keep it up.

I started this topic and after reading the replies I feel I am being too tough on the guy. Main reason like some pointed out he plays well and when he lets one in it is like he is too good to let that happen. Panthers have been playing as well as the Flyers going in last night. Same records up till last night so it was not an easy game by any means.

There was little doubt the Refs were trying to control the game the way they thought it should be played. It is Hockey and things happen you can't control every shift every rush. I had to listen to the Panthers broadcast team and they felt the Refs were hard on both teams. I concur.

Flyers win but Bryz should have had a shootout. The two goals he allowed should have been stopped. I like him but I am concerned with his 60 minute concentration. If you see it differently please let me know what I missed.

I think Upshall is injured. As good as they are doing there are still too many empty seats. When the Flyers score it sounded like the Wells Fargo.
