    It is so wrong to penalize a player for insuring his pay with a long contract. Is it better to keep going on the Free Agent Market?

    Many communities are cutting the unions off at the knees and appears the NHL owners are of the same mind. In unity their is strength so curtail the bargaining power.

    No matter how much blame goes to Bettman it still comes down to he works for the Owners. If they told him to make a deal that should be end of it. Easier to let him take the heat for a lost season.

    Time for the Phillies GM and the Flyers GM and the Eagles GM to go. GM says they are having a good year so I guess they can stay.

    If you are in the game only for the money you will never be a team player. I understand they are entitled to make as much moneya as they can but they also have to indicate some loyalty. I guess that is a kind of oxymoron loyalty and free agency.

    As it has been pointed out. His connection to the Broad Street Bullies. The rest of the League resented the fact that at that time this new team won a Cup quicker than any other franchise. Also they were angry that the Cup did not come North of the Border.

    I read on Philly.com it is 2012 45th and 117th next year Coyotes 4th round.

    Were Stamkos to leave Tampa Bay it would lead to more empty seats than Lightning strikes in the Lightning capitol.

    The difference in my opinion was the Kings were able to concentrate on Offense because they knew they had a goalie. Did not see any of the games so I don't know if they had to come back to go on D all the time like the Flyers had do tooooooo many times.

    If Jagr comes back as just a forward that is not the answer. He should also get involved in a coaching venue. I am sure he can instruct the young guys in the many hidden points of the game.
