Greenway sending the message, don't mess with me!

Fiala can do no wrong right now!

I haven’t seen a lot of mayhew but what I did like was his patience with the puck and the ability to see where he can go to stay out of trouble.
I am so tired of watching players panic every time they touch the puck. -

I've liked him at Center more than I've liked him as a winger. I would offer him a cheap deal and see if he takes it. I'm pretty sure this is his last NHL chance.
But do you like him more than mayhew at wing and donato at center.
because I don’t see him doing anything. -

Looks WYSIWYG to me as well.

So in the first game or two reports came out about Galchenyuk not being able to skate well enough for the NHL.
So I said, give Chuckie a chance to show what he can do.
Now I've seen enough. This is my impression of him.
It looks like he has the size and hand skills to play. While not fast he really isn't slow. He doesn't seem to be very quick or have lateral movement.
But he really doesn't skate any worse than Eric Stahl or Mikko.
So my question is, is he just lost on what to do, or is he just going through the motions and waiting for next year.
If he is that lost, why play him as much as they do?
If he's just coasting, why play him at all.
I say move him to the 4th line and give Donato his spot.
Am I off base with this, what do the rest of you think.

I agree with you on Mayhew, he can take galchenyuk's place, because he is doing nothing.

I think I will give Chuckie more than 1 game after a rush job to get here, say hello and play a game before I label him a bust.
Immediately after last year's trades, we fell in love with donato, hated fiala.
So let's all calm down a little.
Ok, I have seen enough of galchenyuk, let him walk at the end of the season.

Do you really think the players don’t realize that while they could make the playoffs, and their goalie could play out of his mind and steal a series or two to get to the finals, and their opponent could lose both their goalies, it probably won’t happen.
I mean I’m pretty good at what I do, but I know I am not the best.
I think they know it too. -

I think this is right choice from Koivu! This is great example how Captain should act. Younger team needs leader, and even though he could/should have jump to "hunt for Stanley"- teams, he does this. Gotta respect Mikko! He really loves Wild team...
No, I think he just doesn't want to do a relocate for a few months.

I only got to watch about 10 minutes last night and about half of galchunyeks first game.
The 10 minutes I watched last night he looked awful. Did the rest of the game improve, more than just the goal? -

Have you been following Iowa recently? Kahkonen has been outstanding in his last 10 starts.
In that period 3 SOs, a stupendous 1.28 GAA and 0,961 SV% and currently leading the league in wins.
I don't see how any competent GM would want to hide him in the minor league anymore and keep riding with that sieve Dubnyk. But a RFA... Guerin needs to hurry up with the extension talks otherwise Kahkonen will be another lost top prospect.
If dubnyk has a nmc they will have to protect him in the expansion draft. They can only protect 1 goalie. My guess is they are trying to hide him.

I think the only way for a new coach to have success with this team will be to solve these large problems.
No true starting goalie.
No true 1st line center.
Not enough right handed forwards.
Too much 3rd line talent.
This is all on the owner and GM, not the coach.

It seems Dumba have got a shoulder injury?
Does anyone recall an earlier shoulder injury on dumba.
I know they’re hard to work through -
I guess I won’t go that far.
I’ll have to watch and see.
I don’t see a lack of effort from parise as much as I see the mentality of this is how “I” score, so this is how we should score. -
I think the handwriting will be on the wall as to Bruce’s firing if Suter’s minutes suddenly jump back up to the near 30 minute mark, or Koivu suddenly gets back to the 2nd line.
I’m not sure about parise yet.
But I don’t think there is anyone who is going to do much with this club’s mediocre at best goaltending and lack of speed and skill. -

BG better be getting something very solid in return here as the team can't afford to be set back further by losing more of the Wild's assets for minimal return. Even if a team is in blow-up full rebuild mode they should be getting back more value for the future than what the Wild has been in past trades.. and please no more over the hill aging vets with NMC/NTC.
I get the feeling that BG isn't going to make trades for the sake of making a trade.
I think Bill learned well from Rutherford.

Galchenyuk with a good backcheck on a 2 on 1

#27. Not bad, not great.
Mikko is getting picked on by Reese. Everyone has to come to his rescue.
-
I could not watch the game. Did Koivu skate the 4th line again or did they run him out on the 2nd again?
-
From the bit that I was able to stomach watching the wild are just in the wrong league.
If you are a true NHLer shouldn't you be able to handle a pass without it jumping off your stick and make you chase the puck down?
Every time I watched that's what I saw!

And that is the real problem with this team.
Until the owner looks at the team, as a team and not "his" team, he won't realize what this team is.

Trouble is those are not the real problem with the club.

After watching him play the last 2 games, I don’t think I would bring him back unless he could improve his skating.
I’m not sure if he is overweight or just slow, but his skating is really holding him back.
