Too late he will be going to Philly!!!!
Putin will have him deployed to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
Doubtful. He’d be at the front tomorrow had the Wild selected him.

Several mock drafts have Wild taking Oshawa Generals centre Calum Ritchie in first round. He's from Brampton, Ont., 6-2, 187 lbs., reportedly strong skater. Shoots right. Had 24 goals, 35 assists for 59 pts in 59 games.
I would be very happy with Ritchie, Heidt or Stenberg. One of those 3 should be available at 21.

I’d like to find a way to trade up and get him, but I’m scared of the cost. There has been some talks amongst some Wild fans and on radio and media, that perhaps you could trade Rossi and move up. I’m not ready to give up on Marco….and I’m not putting Faber in any deal. If you can do it without them, go for it, but I doubt you could.

Spurgeon is not going anywhere. He has a full NMC.
Yeah, that’s true. I mentioned that. But there is nothing stopping you from asking him to waive it.

So, watching the playoffs this season has just confirmed for me something I’ve felt for a few years now. Yes, we are more than razor thin at center, but I think we have just as big, if not a bigger problem, at defense. We are too small, and overall not tough enough, along our D-corp. Every year we seem to get exposed back there during the playoffs. This won’t be popular, but I really wish this team would move Jared Spurgeon. I love him, on and off the ice. He seems to be a great guy, but his career playoff stats are so totally opposite what he does in the regular season that it’s staggering. And the sample size is large enough in my opinion, that it isn’t an anomaly. He’s so poor in the playoff environment that he’s a third pair defensemen at best come playoff time. I think it boils down to the fact that physically, he can’t function as well in the playoff meat grinder. At least that’s how I see it.
He’s 34 years old so he’ll be 36 by the time we clear cap hell. He’s certainly not going to be a better player 3 years from now. We could do a lot with almost $7.6M off our books if he would waive the no-move clause. I don’t care if we “lose the trade” and don’t get a great return, the goal should be to clear cap space. We could sign a defenseman with more size. We could also possibly sign a center to lengthen our depth there and hopefully improve our face offs at the same time.
I just think this team needs to toughen up a little, and I don’t mean at forward by signing Reaves. We need some nasty at defense. Not dirty, but some nasty and some size.
Just my thoughts tonight as I sit here waiting for next season.

I like also Nyquist talent in this such a difficult playoffs game.
I didn’t realize he had as much finesse and touch with his passes. He’s better than I remembered and is another quality addition to this team.

Gus hasn’t looked his sharpest tonight. Might need to go ahead and win this in a hurry.

I’m starting to REALLY dislike McBain.

I hope this one bad game doesn't make them put Flower back as the starter
Me too. These 4 goals aren’t all on Gus. Very loose defense tonight, much like the last two games. Coyotes have had some quality chances in the slot and that ain’t on Gus.
But as superhuman as he’s been, he’s bound to have a stinker at some point.

They aren’t going to sit their assistant captain. Ain’t happening
Well, I don’t think they will, and I don’t think I would either actually. If you going to let Klingberg and Brodin play together then I think I’d sit Merrill….but that’s me.
I’m not sold on Klingberg for what my opinion is worth.

Pair him with Klinger and sit Dumba??
Good question. I’ve heard talk that he does pair with Klingberg but that same speculation says Gologoski or Merril sits, not Dumba.

Can’t wait for Brodin to get back in the lineup.

Man, one thing you can say about Klingberg when he’s on the ice is that things won’t be dull.

Man, Foligno wore him out!!

Side note, I’m probably in the minority, but I like the Coyotes’ uniforms.

Wild have acquired Oskar Sundqvst from Detroit in exchange for a 4th round pick this year. He’s a UFA.

This is true. I wasn’t “excited” with this pick when you look at others who were available. I was honestly very underwhelmed. But all that matters down the line is how does he develop. Pronman and some others like him. As you said, you can’t teach that size. I just hope he isn’t another Greeway.
Having said all of that, I love the pick of Heidt at the end of round 2. How did he fall that far when most projected him top 15 to top 20 overall? There had to be a reason but you can’t deny that is great value there for the Wild. That pick does excite me.
