  1. Totally agree and that's not just because of those tight shorts! Milwaukee would be VERY interesting though.
  2. Sorry cheesesteak! I did all the recruiting I could do! Fat chicks...? Just roll them around in flour and look for the wet spot... (I know, really off color and bad but couldn't resist)
  3. He was... I think of all the money my dad and grandpop spent taking us (my brother to) to games... God i was lucky. We were not rich. Hell, it was a 1.75 hour ride from the shore to the Spectrum...
  4. Ok, I can't remember the date but I have the ticket some place and i was little kid (circa 1980-81ish). My grandfather drives me to the game from the shore and they were playing the Islanders. The Flyers were getting ROUTED. (I didn't say it was a positive story). There were atleast two fights in the stands. Then the Flyers let in the 6 or 7th goal and people started throwing stuff at the Flyers. The guy next to me hurled his hoagie at the bench area and scored a direct hit. There was lettuce hanging off their helmets and I distincly remember one player takeing a piece of half eaten salami of the other guys back. When the game was over some guys had popcorn stuck to their heads... The capper on the night was in the parking lot. There was this altercation between fans with an Islander fan standing in the path of the traffic and egging everyone on about their win... My grandpop just simply said "watch this kid, there gonna run this guy over".... And they DID! Rolled right across the hood. That was the craziest sporting event I have ever been to. Boy, I miss the good old days...
  5. I don't have a real problem with what the Flyers did, but... Speed would break that trap. The offensive player would need to dump it in OR back pass to defence at the first sign of trouble. That's what the trapping team is hoping for...The turn over.
  6. Well, I don't see anyway he doesn't play with big club unless they do short conditioning stint in the AHL. With that being said the last time was a disaster. They shuffled 3 of the 4 lines just to fit him. In this case I hope they simply swap one player for one player, even if it means he plays wing. He needs to prove himself at this point to get something more...
  7. Keep Bob. No reason to trade anyone when we are in 1st place in the east. I'm even worried that Schenn is getting close and lavy will be under pressure to insert him somewhere. Last time we did that we tanked...
  8. I agree, to many goals given up but we still have the best goal differential in the league. +14...
  9. Jagr was kidnapped 3 years ago by a Homlgren special forces team. He was spirited away to a secret lab and cloned. Special mental training and a new body, though looking 39, and he was ready to go this year. The original Jagr is in chains in the basement and thrown raw meat once a day. I'm loving the signing. Perhaps the best of all teams this off season...
  10. The latest is Miller has a concussion. Ricks really having a bad week! Bozod from here. His plot uncovered on Philly.com (and I think bozod there) and now his beloved Miller is put out of action by the Boston team he talked all that trash about...
  11. i just watched the video. That is seriously MESSED up!
  12. I'm in my jallopy now. I'll be there to pick Leighton up in a 2-3 days from here. I'll even treat him to pre-packaged gas station hoagie....
  13. I heard he had a sports hernia. He had surgery this summer I believe.
  14. Yeah, maybe we can get a 75th round draft pick or a gift card to Applebee's.!
  15. Well, we didn'y loose anything when we lost Versteeg because he really didn't do anything here.... Can't loose something you never had!
  16. I was behind it from day 3. The first day I had a stroke. The 1st half of the 2nd day I was cleaning out my ears. The 2nd half of day 2 I had time to think and quickly realized this was probably going to be good. So far it has.
  17. I'd rather be partying in LA than crying in Columbus...
  18. Guess the fans can reject him by not voting for him. hahahaha. I made myself laugh.
  19. I just was over there (not posting). They are bunch of sick-o's! It has degenerated into something i can't even describe...
  20. And again, I'm not advocating the league make another rule. And this next thing I make a disclaimer: I'm not a conspirousy theoroist!!!! But, I think the Flyers did that on purpose last night... A statement to the BOG and GM's. Yes , if i was in charge we would have dumped and chased. But i wasn't and i still don't have a problem with what they did BECAUSE it exposed that crap. Someone had to do it and we got a point anyway.
  21. Aziz, you are seriously defending this? It's bad for the game. That's what makes it dis-honorable. You have your thoughts and I have mine. I would NEVER tell my team to play like that. And the Flyers did this in this PATICULAR game because the GM meetings are next week. Crap like that last night impacts EVERY team in viewership and growing the team. If you enjoy then move to Tampa...
  22. What I'm shocked about is the amount of support for the Bolts here in Flyerdom and the opinion of a few about how the Flyers came up short in not attacking through the 1-3-1 ! The first thing said is "it's not against the rules" to do the 1-3-1. Well, perhaps not. But I don't need laws ans rules to know how to act honorably. If the first thing I have to ask myself is "can i get away with it? Is it in the rule book" then you have already crossed the line. I guess i love the game to much... EVERY team should do this to them to embarress them. What I DON'T get is how the Tampa fans put up with this crap... They havn't won anything since last year when this 1-3-1 thing started for them yet the fans keep forking over the money to watch this...? Overwhelming analyst and other teams support for the Flyers actions last night. That says something...
  23. yeah, and as much as hate to say this, you'll take allot of penalties doing it....
