  1. Yeah, I don't blame you, there's something to be said for getting it done, now you don't have to worry about it
  2. @B21 Yeah, that is a shame what happened to that franchise (no sarcasm). The wars between the Phils and Bucs in the 70s/early 80s were alot of fun
  3. The best I see on StubHub right now for Game 4 downstairs is $135 (plus the 10% service fee) section 121 row 22 or 25. Not a bad seat it's on the corner, but at the end where the Pens will shoot 2X....or where the Flyers will score the game winner in OT There are more game 4 "bargains" out there A side note we've been off and on as STH in the last couple years after a 30+ year run. We didn't have them the year of the great comeback vs Boston. After the Flyers went down 0-3 in that series, I picked up a pair on StubHub for Game 4, downstairs near center ice for $75 apiece. I bought game 6 then too ($ is refunded if game not played) for around the same price. After the Flyers won game 5 in Boston, lowest piriced seats in the same area for game 6 were listed on StubHub for $250.....timing is everything. I did the same thing for game 6 of the final that year too, but now we're talking I only paid an arm and leg by buying after the Flyers 0-2, as opposed to losing a ******** and my first born too by waiting.... Oh come on now...... T E S T I C L E, the ******** was T E S T I C L E
  4. Sadly I doubt you'll see anything remotely close to a big hit on Crosby. Here's hoping I'm wrong
  5. @Merrick I like Larry Brooks less than I like Carchidi, Brooks lining up on my side worries me
  6. Yeah I'm not going in that direction at all, that whole discussion has run its course ten times over here
  7. @Phillygrump If you're close to the arena and you have the stomach to wait to the last minute, there's ususlly a good drop running up to game time. There's a pick up window at the Holiday Inn on Packer Ave. But situation matters alot too....if the Flyers lose the first two in Pitt, prices will drop. If they win the first two, prices will go through the roof. Simple supply and demand. I've found that with StubHub, alot varies as to who the seller is. You can find a pair of tickets for $X and another pair of tix in the same area for 2 times $X on the same screen. If it were me, I'd try to snag a bargain early (now), and if there don't seem to be then check back later....but check frequently too, alot changes really quickly on StubHub
  8. "Absolutely it's preferential treatment for stars. But that's not unique to hockey or any sport for that matter. Sometimes it helps your team and sometimes doesn't. I never had an issue with that philosophy...all major sports have it. " @B21 I think the problem you're going to have with that argument here is this: Lindros, the most gifted athlete ever to suit up for the Flyers was not protected in this manner. And frankly I don't think he or anyone else should have been. The problem is that he wasn't, his career was cut short because of the shots he took (and for not having his head up), while we've had to sit by and watch Gretzky, Lemiuex, Crosby etc be put in a bubble.
  9. "Philly fans don't whine when Halladay gets a strike 3 call on a pitch 3" off the plate because he's Roy Halladay." @B21 Reported for bringing up baseball before June
  10. "......Bruins' seemingly endless parade of cheap shots and flagrant attempts to injure opponents, Dale Hunter has asked whether there's any chance he could be allowed to coach them instead. " Actually I was hoping Lucic might take a run at that prik Hunter during the national anthem
  11. Right PFD, Kubina won't be back and somebody will probably overpay for Carle, let's worry about the blue line first....
  12. Doc that vid was some funny ****! Bugs Bunny quotes and video game penguinicide, this thread is either now dead or moving in a much better direction
  13. If he's posing with the Cup again in June, he can wear a muumuu for all I care
  14. @B21 Honestly dude, you're kinda trolling Kuato-style at this point. And as long as you keep doing this point by point misdirection and false conclusions, people are going to keep getting pissed off and firing back. Give it a rest. I like a lot of your posts outside of this defending the honor of the Pens bullsh*t, but this whole line of "conversation" is IMO asinine. Let it f**king go dude.
  15. @doom88 I also would have accepted "can we quit b*tching like ragging 15 year old girls", but you put it much more eloquently.
  16. Game 1. Wednesday. Not looking any farther than that.
  17. This thread needs to be nailed to a cross so true believers don't have to suffer anymore.
  18. Honestly, I think a major problem with the D is really inherent in Lavy's system/philosophy. His go-go offensive style leaves the backside exposed at times. If defensemen go deep that's fine, as long as they have the wheels to get back and a forward is there to cover his spot. And we need 2 more Grossmans...
  19. I was never impressed with him as a head coach/leader. He threw his team under the bus after game 3 finals in '97 by saying they choked in the post game presser. Whether it's true or not, you don't pull a reverse Andy Reid like that. And really like someone else above me said, no more retreads.
  20. Bettman just announced Grump fined $5,000 for making disparaging comments on HockeyForums
