yave1964 Posted April 13, 2021 Share Posted April 13, 2021 starting off with Connor Brown and his unlikely eight game goal streak. probably the least likely such streak of anyone ever. Dont get me wrong, he can put the biscuit in the basket a bit, 20 tucks was his career high with Toronto in 16-17. This year he had only 6 goals in his first 35 games before catching fire In fact he was in a goal draught going goalless in 8 games before his streak, actully only 1 goal in his previous 13 games. Jordan Staal played in his 1000th game last night against the Wings in a 3-1 Carolina loss in which they were sluggish and seemed disnterested. I have watched a ton of Carolina games this year, for some reasons the Wings give them fits going 4-2-1 in the first 7 games against this year. Nice to see him play against Marc in such an important game for him. Staal has had some of his best games against the Wings over the years. Milan Lucic gets his 1000 game in the NHL tonight when they square off against the Leafs. He has lost his skill over the years but is as big of a pain in the a$s to play against as he ever was.
