Bruins beat Tim Thomas

Last night in their first meeting since Tim Thomas took a year off to work for the President Obama Reelection campaign the Bruins faced their former teammate, and came out with a 3-2 victory in Florida.

Thomas looked real sharp, facing 40 shots, giving up the game winner with one minute to go to Reilly Smith, his first goal in a Bruin jersey.

Leading up to the game everyone said all of the right things, Lucic talked about what a great teammate Thomas had been, Thomas talking about moving on with his life and starting a new chapter. I don't care who you are though, you had to know the Bruins wanted this one badly last night.

Thomas played a solid game, frankly he outplayed Tuuka at the other end simply because Rask was seldom tested, but in the end the Big Bad Bruins rolled over the Panthers.

BTW has anyone noticed the 'big bad' thing seems to be completely done? One two minute minor by Smith, ZERO PIMs against the Wings the other night, in the bottom third in Minutes in the sin bin on the season, only six teams with less.

Classic!

Did Thomas go broke during his year off? How long before he gets a customized mask and stops using one from the local rink pro shop.
