Sin Bin
This is the first of four games. The Devils won two of three last season, with the Capitals triumphant in the second of two straight at Verizon Center over three days in February. Hopefully the Capitals can keep up there winning ways winning back to back contests and taking this first game of the year versus the Devils. Players to watch for the Caps are Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. Can they continue their magic together on back to back nights. Probable Goalies are Holtby and Brodeur. My prediction: Capitals 3 Devils 2 Edited December 21, 2013 by Sin Bin
hf101
The Capitals usually play goog at home however Holtby has been a sieve for my fhl team. The devils are struggling with a couple of injuries so I agree the Caps win this rather easily. Capitals 4Devils
Sin Bin
I hope Holtby can do better the rest of the game than he did on the first shot on the power play. Zidlicky scores on a slapper.
Sin Bin
Holtby settles down a bit and only allows the one goal in the 1st period. Hopefully the Caps can get by Marty Brodeur as he looks like he is on his game tonight. Shots on goal in the 1st period is: Capitals-10 and the Devils-7 shots. Sin Bin
Finally breaks past Brodeur. Jason Chimera with a wrap around goal to tie this game all up.
Sin Bin
What a play to give the Capitals a 2-1 lead. Grabovski from Brouwer gets it past Marty. This is what I call good Caps play.
Sin Bin
Fast Break goal by Joel Ward gives the Caps a 3-1 lead. Marty Brodeur had no chance on that one. If the Caps play like this in the upcoming 3rd period they can put this one in the win column. Just the way I like it.
Sin Bin
God Jagr is still awesome at the age of what 95? He just scored to make it a 1 goal lead for the Caps.
Sin Bin
The Great 8 gets 401 and his 30th goal of the season. Wow he is awesome. Back up by 2 goals.
Sin Bin
Back to a 1 goal lead. Who is this Marek Zidlicky anyway? He has two goals tonight. Holtby is starting to allow his quota of goals for tonight.
Sin Bin
Turnover in the zone ties this game up. Zubrus scores it. Holtby way out of position or at least caught off guard by the turnover.
Sin Bin
Well I got this prediction wrong tonight. Andy Greene scores the game winner in OT to give the Devils a 5-4 win and the extra point. My 3 Stars1. Jagr- 1 goal 2 assists2. Greene-1 goal 2 assists3. Zidlicky- 2 goals
goalnut3133
Yah I also can't believe how good Jagr still is either, imagine the level of conditioning in order to keep up! He can come out of nowhere & still work the magic. Ovy with his 30th? That is un-bloody-believable! Esp when so many are still on just their 6th & 7th goals right now...lol. This match-up was a real upset in our Pick 'Em tonite, 99% of us chose the Caps for the win!
