Couple articles in today's Boston Globe:

Sounds like Mesz is fitting in pretty well with the Bruins:

In Philadelphia, Andrej Meszaros was not a go-to power-play option. Meszaros was behind Kimmo Timonen andMark Streit, two left-shot quarterbacks, on the depth chart. Meszaros averaged 1:02 of man-up ice time with the Flyers.

Three games into his Black-and-Gold career, Meszaros is logging more than twice that amount.

On Thursday night against Phoenix, Torey Krug was a healthy scratch. Meszaros replaced Krug as the point man on the No. 1 unit and played 1:07 of his 15:33 total on the power play.

In the two previous games, Meszaros replaced Dougie Hamilton as the primary point man on the No. 2 unit. Meszaros logged 1:45 of man-advantage ice time in the 4-1 win over Montreal on Wednesday. On Sunday, in his Boston debut against Florida, Meszaros played 3:50 on the power play. He scored a power-play goal in the 5-2 win.

The Bruins acquired Meszaros from the Flyers for a conditional 2014 third-round pick to give the coaching staff more options. So far, Meszaros has done his part in expanding the Bruins’ toolbox. Meszaros served as Zdeno Chara’s righthand man in his first two games. Against Phoenix, Meszaros switched to the left side and skated with Kevan Miller on the No. 3 pairing.

Hamilton has been a healthy scratch recently.

But Hamilton is not complaining. Rather, he is doing his best to stay confident during a potentially uncertain time.

“I think because he trusts us,” coach Claude Julien said. “Like I’ve told him and we’ve told him as a coaching staff the whole time, he’s a good player and he’s going to be an even better player as we move on here. What we’ve asked him is just to be patient with us — because he came in here as a 19-year-old.

“A 19-year-old on a team that’s rebuilding is going to play a ton. A 19-year-old that’s on an established team doesn’t get that same luxury, but he gets the luxury of developing in a winning environment and finding out quickly what it takes to win. So, he’s in a good situation.”
