hf101
Reports are stating that the Devils leading candidate for head coach is Phil Housley. The 51 year old former defensemen is currently an assistant coach with the Nashville Predators. He has also coached team USA to the gold medal at the 2013 World Junior Championships. Housley played 22 games for the Devils back in the 1995-96 season after a trade deadline trade and has played more games over the course of his career without winning a Stanley Cup than any other player in the NHL. Phil Housley is the second leading scorer among U.S born players with 1,232 points and was inducted into the United States Hall of Fame in in 2004. This looks to be a great choice by Shero and the Devils, imo.
ScottM
I like this choice as well. Housley always seemed to be a really smart player. I think that would translate well to the bench. I hope it proves true.
