Johnny Bullet Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I'm curious to see what people think about the Arizona Coyotes surviving headache after headache financially and geographically. Do you think they can survive? I went to the University of Arizona (Tucson) and used to drive up to a lot of the games with the boys and it was always a blast. Cheap tickets for the best hockey. But it's just out in the middle of nowhere instead of downtown, although I was there when they were at the old barn too. Would love to hear what people think.
ruxpin Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I think they survive as a franchise, but I don't think their long term prognosis in the Phoenix metro area is good. Once the expansion franchises are awarded, you'll ewe the Coyotes moved to a city that didn't get a bid together in time (likely mostly on purpose). They should not have gone there to begin with (especially not from Winnipeg), and hockey cannot survive there.
