ScottM
http://www.ottawasun.com/2015/10/05/ottawa-senators-put-lazar-in-top-6-role We're all used to coaches playing around with their lines in the preseason, but it looks like Dave Cameron intends to stick with some of what he tried. The biggest surprise is no doubt Curtis Lazar's promotion to the second line, right wing. Lazar finished last season with only 15 points, but that number is a little misleading compared to the half-point per game pace he finished the season on. Lazar's presence isn't the only surprise with the line, as Bobby Ryan will be moved to the left side to play with Lazar and Mika Zibanejad. The Ryan move makes sense for a team with depth issues on that side. Clarke MacArthur is already out with a head injury, and Milan Michalek's play last season didn't exactly look top-6 worthy. There are a couple more things of note in the article. One is what Cameron had to say about Colin Greening. He certainly didn't mince words. The other is the depth chart at the bottom of the page. It shows the projected lines and pairings to begin the campaign.
jammer2
@ScottM I am a FIRM believer in Lazar's talent and work ethic. He is a star, I'm sure of it. The slow start...pffft, happens a LOT. He has tremendous character and a WICKED skill set, and inevitably, he will show those skills off. He is one of the primary building blocks that will help promote the Sens back to respectability.
