Although freeing up that much money does sound nice there are 2 reasons I would want to keep Timmo.

1) If that much salary is opened up, no doubt Homer is just going to fill it back up again. It's what he does and how he opperates.

2) It's going to be hard to find someone that does everything Timmo does when he leaves/retires. He is worth every bit of his salary and then some IMO. He quietly does everything he is asked.
