I was thinking they would carry three until clemmenson shows complete recovery, then put theodore on waivers, and let Markstrom continue to play in the NHL.
Jagr is probably in the best shape of his career. If any one payed any attention to the world championships last year they would have noticed how dominant Jagr was. SSSSOOOOOOOOO glad Jagr chose Philly first. and don't forget Jagr's hockey school.....helping players as JVR.
A great explanation, maybe that is why Briere was smiling....ha. He knew he kept the puck moving. My guess is we will see more of these moves. I really like the way the nhl is interacting with it's fans in these videos.
I think it is just two different reporters reporting different opinions. One had word from Holmgren, and one speculating. Since Wellwood was called up today, it becomes quite obvious that JVR has an injury.
Maybe Jagr was #4. Jagr has only about a 23% record for scoring in the shootout. Simmonds is lifetime 40% on the shootout. I would have liked to have seen Bob perform better as well in the shootout.
According to this statement JVR wasn't benched. His skating overall hasn't been as strong this year as what he started out int the pre-season. Wondering if this slight groin pull has been bothering him for awhile?
Talbot said after the game that he has a limited supply of moves. Thus I can see why he wasn't chosen. If I am remembering correctly didn't Simmonds score in the shootout during pre-season? Not sure really why Jagr wasn't given the chance. Hartnell of course would have fallen so that is definitely a no go. I think Lavy choses the shooters as he does his time outs, whatever he feels like at the moment.
Briere says he wasn't trying to stop, he stumbled as he was trying to figure out what he was going to do. It is bothersome that Bob can't stop the puck in the shootout, especially for as quick as he is known to be.
lol, they read my post on silly.com that Holmgren was at the Caps game on tues, and wrote an article for thurs really surprised they didn't suggest Schenn for Sbisa.
Shanny is also putting together a video of questionable hits thus far in the season to the players after the hit and tweet that Fisher took and commented on. Got to give him credit for trying to be consistent.
I think it is the right move to play Bob. He needs to play too. He has only had one bad outing this season. Several of those goals against him were scored off deflections also.
Briere I read has a rib injury. And I'm not quite sure with Read. I also don't think briere will be traded, very easily with his NTC. Read either go that matter, we have just begun to see his upside.
