No. Wallstedt already got thrown to the wolves during that Dallas game. Build the kid up, don’t destroy him right off the bat.
Gus is the one that needs to get his act together. Leave him in there. They need to lose the rest of their games.
Gus was geared to be the #1 starter so he should be playing the top teams.
No reason to over work Wally at this point.- 2

MacKinnon placed a goal.
2 PP's in the first 5 minutes will do that.

Usual battle with NHL66 to get going with away games.
Has our game started yet?
NM...Turned on the radio to find out Yes... -

Rossi did and Faber and Bedard didn't. 41 goals and 89 points for Kaprizov now. Now I have another wish for him to net 9 more goals and 11 more points to reach him 50 goals mark (he never did this) and 100 points for this season. I think he can do it. And no the rest for the team till the rest of the season. They are not merit that. Better would be for them to build a stronger chemistry in remaining games. Wallstedt stayed like a wall for his 1st NHL shutout. I like it.
I was listening this game on a RadioFM during my long driving home.
I had to listen to the game also on a break and then my drive home for the last 1/2 of the 3rd.
From the sounds of it, The team really laid it out for Wallstedt supporting him.
I'd think he'd get 1 more start on the road trip and maybe split the home game between him and Fleury so fans get to see both.
I think Fleury is coming back 1 more year but you never know. I personally think it would be good for Wallstedt to be around him.- 1

Got to hear the 3rd on my drive home.
Congrats to the kid for his shutout.
That's 12 straight wins against the Hawks. -

Dammit...Another tip by an open player in close.

Merril made a huge mistake trying to skate backwards and then letting the Jets player blow by him.

Cool to hear Kap score while I took a break and then find out it was his 39th.
Like to see 1 more on home ice.- 2

I think Gaudreau has a contract with us for 5 years for $10,000,000. Last season we had an injuries too on Kaprizov; EEK.... But Gaudreau was capable to produce in any line to help the team. And his +/- -19 this season is horrible result.
Yep, 2.1M per but tradable at that price. * ( So 3 and a 1/2 more seasons before UFA)
Mojo is an UFA after next season so I expect a trade before that to get something.- 1

And where were our snipers? What happened with them. Lettieri and Chisholm placed 2 goals.
MacKinnon has 130 points already. We let him do everything what he wanted this game. And he had 1 goal and 2 assists tonight.
That too...Kap, Boldy, etc went cold the last 2 games.

Crap x4 this game. I think game is over and the playoffs season is 500% is over too for the wild club.
Gustavsson was a biggest disappointment this season. As well as was Gaudreau. He has only 4 goals; 10 assists; +/- -19 in 61 games. In SO he was not good this season too. For $2,100,000 per season. How much cost his goals per season? Last season he had 19 goals; 19 assists; +/- +10 in 82 games. The other disappointment is Johansson. He has 10 goals;18 assists; +/- -11 in 70 played games for $2,000,000 contract per season. Last season he had almost a point per game(18 points) in 20 played games for the Wild team (6 goals; 12 assists;+/- +6). For those 2 players are the worst stats this season.
To be fair, Comparing their stats from the previous season isn't comparable imo.
Take all the injuries this season, The Wild brought up guys and focused on where to put them and just 'plug and played' Freddie and Mojo constantly mixing them with players mostly on L3 and L4.
I just think guys like them need consistent linemates for consistency.
Both of them the previous season had time on L1 and L2 so that easily helped their stats.
Sure they could've done a lot better this year but I give them a slight pass for what I mentioned.
Probably tried to trade them but with no takers. Next season will be intersting onwhat happens to them. -

Watching this game does not instill a lot of hope for next year, when everyone will be another year older.
Faber, Rossi, Khusnutdinov and Chisolm yes, everyone else, not so much.
We all knew these 2 seasons were going to be 'odd'.
Really looking towards the season after next I guess.- 1
