  1. Not going to be an easy game at all. I think our D is better which is what is going to shine tonight. The likes of Spurgeon, Brodin, Kulikov, and Goligoski may not score any goals , but they will prove to be important tonight. Kaprizov, Boldy I think will have good offensive nights and Fleury with the help of a great night from the defense will also shine.

I think the Wild win 3-1.

Should be easy to do since doughty is out for the season.

Not really that easy then if you think about. He will then have to skate around and probably down to the training room and then shoot and remarkable shot from there passed Doughty on the training table and then passed the other players and the goalie. That sounds pretty damn difficult to me. 😆

  3. Yes, why hasn't that franchise been pressured like the Washington Redskins of the NFL and the Cleveland Indians of MLB?

I'm not saying they should or anything like that, I am just wondering why they have been pretty much given a go with the name while other teams have been pressured to change.

  4. So in another thread the topic of the Cleveland Guardians and then the Washington Commanders came up and I have a question why hasn't the Chicago Blackhawks ever really been pressured to change their name or logo? They have been a franchise for a very long time and for as long as I am aware they have had the same logo.

Sure but selling now on a Russian prospect you won't be getting top dollar in return.

You're basically trading for his rights. Very risky. And with matters abroad complicates things even further.

Might be better just signing him to another one year deal.

I didn't even think of that.

  6. I have been in the Capitals viewing market for a few years now due to my husbands work and even though I don't watch many of their games, I do believe that in the off season they will end up keeping Vanacek over Samsonov. I feel the Capitals will get a very good return on the young goalie and I think most teams probably feel that Samsonov has more of an upside to his game than Vanacek.

The problem with trading a young goalie is there are only a handful of teams that have that need for a starting young goalie so the trading is pretty limited.

Very true.  But, he could be a 10 year NHL vet.  Doesn't matter.  Anyone playing alongside Yandle has their game screwed up quite a bit.

The sad thing is Yandle once had a very respectable career. He needs to hang up the skates.

  8. I don't think Wallstedt will be completely ready next season. As for the 23/24 season that is when I see he will be really ready to make a full impact. So if Fleury does resign for 1 year that is great and if not we still have a capable #1 in Talbot who we give that contract to.  Then sign a capable backup goalie .

We never really had much luck with Russian players, even the ones we traded for ,like Bryzjerkoff and Zherdev.Yuskevich and Provorov are the only two good ones we ever drafted. Butsayev, Voroybeyev, Bodrov Medvedev and others were all flops. Even the poor kid Tertyshny died in a boating accident during training camp.

Hey, one the bright side Medvedev did turn out to be a pretty good Tennis player. 😆
