I remember posting when they won their eighth straight or something. The Bruins on paper are really good and they've found their stride but the Flyers really laid an egg on this one at the same time. The first goal was what around 20 seconds in? A few bad bounces against with some bad luck in there too. Effort was lacking also. It happens to every team from time to time. On the flip side Bob only let one in. I think Lavy has to start him on Monday in Colorado. It will be a statement game for this team and how they handle the loss of their two most important players AND probably their arguably their most valued rookie. It's time we see Briere & Timo put this team on their backs as the veteran leaders of this team. They've been solid but it's time to take the next step and lead.

Flyers without Pronger + Giroux are a .500 team. With that many rookies it's going to be a bumpy ride. I think they end up 6-8 in the conference at the end of the year if Giroux isn't back for a month or so.

The funny thing is that when refs have a good game they aren't noticeable so we pay no attention. It's the other-side when we notice the most.

I'm not the right person to ask about that. I haven't been to CBP as I moved out of the area about 8 years ago. I too would have thought the LINK would have been prefered but I'm sure it has to do the with the month of setup work they need to do. Last time I checked the Eagles tried to play football at the LINK so that's probably why.

Correct me if I'm wrong but just because Pronger is LTIR for the season, when it comes to the off season his money counts towards the cap and they can only be 10% over during the summer. So *If* something is done, there has to be some salary moving. If Homer gives Carle a contract similar to Coburns then that's a 40% raise. It would almost need to be even money in a trade as I figure it.

I think Homer waits until everyone gets healthy. Neither Schenn nor JVR fetch much right now so I'm not sure trading them gets you much. At most I think you will see a pending RFA/UFA 3/4 dman by the trade deadline. As well as this team is playing, they are young and not read for the a run to the SCF IMHO. Finish the year strong. Get the kids as much playing time and experience as possible. Replace Pronger in the off season and make some tweaks as needed. Then make your push next year
