Oh no wrong my friend he can come in and join the rest of the old players they are going to resign pile em up.

Any more 30 something guys will can fill the roster with who needs a rebuild they have a first round exit they are working on!!!

OK, but let's say hypothetically we can somehow get rid of Atkinson's useless posterior (in a trade for a pick, I guess), and then add Vatrano..isn't that an upgrade?  I think so, although Vatrano is 29. I'm all for the youth movement, but I also want a few productive reasonably priced veterans who can score, in the lineup.

This reads as pretty black and white, giving an out to those living in "they're all full of sh!t" land. It's not realistic in any timeline.

Based on what I've heard in interviews, to trade Scott Laughton the deal needs to be stupidly in the Flyers favor.

    I'm not counting on that.

Walker is found money and should be traded for a maximum return if possible. If he remains, questions will need to be asked about just what the hell is the plan? He's the guy that will bring back the best return. He is the guy to sell high on if ever there was one.

Seeler, what's a #7 worth? a 3rd? Does that move the needle as a sweetener in a trade? Does a 3rd pick make the NHL? Where is his value?

The ideas floated where he and Walker get traded together iare intriguing and I'd love to see it. Especially if a top 6 forward prospect and a first are the return. Will that happen? I hope so, but will it?

Seeler should be cheap @ 2.7 aav for 3 years? something in that range. That's not killing anything with the cap going up. As long as they don't give him Andrew MacDonald money or term, I think it will be fine

He is the coach's pet, Jonesy loves him. They think Seeler's effect on the younger guys in the room is profound and they want to keep him around as an example of the way they want these young guys to go about being a pro.

If there are plans to try to move the rejuvenated Ristolainen around the draft or F/A, I think I would be satisfied by the direction of the club.

Seeler isn't worth anything less, than a second. If it's a player and a third, then OK, but I doubt that happens.

Another observation: Staal looks lost and incapable of timely plays. He really is clogging the future. Based on what I saw tonight, I doubt he is trade bait.

Yeah, he does look lost. He's playing like he's got just about nothing left, whereas I feel like Zamula is playing pretty well and getting dragged down a bit by him. Maybe (hopefully) some team takes him off of our hands, for a decent draft pick.

We got a point. If we had a functional PP, maybe two. Sad loss.

It is sad. Whether we get a finisher or setup guy, the team needs an offensive jolt.. via trade. Captain Obvious here... I know we get the shots on goal, but we need BETTER shots on goal. Forty one shots on goal, and only one scored doesn't cut it. This has happened much more than I'd like it to, this season. I want to see at least one more good points producer acquired here, by this Friday.

His point, I think, was that the players shouldn't think of this as "rebuilding" and should go out and play hard regardless.

The rubber hits the road right now at the trade deadline. Are they "all in for the playoffs" or are they in a New Era of Orange?

    🤔

They aren't talented enough to make a lot of noise once they get there, IMO anyway.. so forget the "all in for the playoffs". I would really like to add a veteran scorer and backup goalie, but if they can't do that..I'm more than happy to rid ourselves of the salaries of a player like Atkinson, who's best hockey days seem very much to be behind him. Then the organization's next step should be, stop overpaying.

  6. Yeah, I like Foerster's game too. Great goal last night, beating a very good goalie soundly. Vasilevskiy was totally fooled by that shot. He has a lot of good offensive moves, and prowess. He's shifty, though he has to still work on his skating ability. The Flyers have a lot of good, young, promising forwards. That being said, I'd like to see them add a good goal scoring forward at the deadline, along with a backup goalie.

The Flyers need to add a goalie. It would be great if they could add someone who's capable of something over .910 as a save percentage. I like Ersson, but God damn, you need to do better than .900. It's starting to get old real fast.

They do need one, and if one is attainable without giving up a ton of assets..they should. I'm not sure Ersson is able to play 60 games or so, in a season. Come playoff time (there, I said it), he might be burned out. However, when the team gets 40 shots on an opposing netminder, and only scores a goal..is that a goaltending problem? No. That has happened to often this year - losing 2-1, and the Flyers get 40+ shots. They also need more top end offensive talent.
