I agree with you there, don't think anyone would've fit with Richards half assing his play during the 2nd half. Don't think Versteeg had a fair shake here but it's over with and i'm happy for Versteeg to be playing well. Hopefully not against us tomorrow night.

It's a not a good idea to trade him if we have to recall him first then he would be subject to reentry waivers and Toronto can just claim him for nothing. We would be on the hook for half his salary, not sure we we can trade him while he's still in the AHL and don't think Toronto will trade for him if he's in the AHL.

No idea why he's pressing for, he's trying to be someone he's not? I don't think we expect him to be a all star dman, we just want to watch a steady play from him with some offense from time to time. I expected him to be a way better player than he is now, he should've learned something from being Prongers partner the last few years. I don't expect him back at all for over 4mil a year. I rather keep Mez at that salary, he brings alot more to the table than Carle.

Size don't matter if he's got body positioning. Example is Kimmo who made a career out of it. Gustavsson needs to get stronger, people aren't dogging Carle for being push around. It's his bonehead plays and TOs that drive us crazy, he'll make a great play then turn around and erase it. If Pronger can make Carle look great I'm sure he can make Gustavsson look good. I think he'll complement Pronger slow skating with his speed well.

A. Gustavsson will take Carle's spot next year if not sooner by the deadline.

Would Stevens had taken us to the Finals? I think not, I don't blame it all on Lavy. It's the players that makes the decisions out there. What can he do when they play soft like not taking the bodies or clearing the crease? How about clearing the puck right up the middle without looking. I don't think any coaches teaches that. They're trying to showcase Nabby for a trade down the line but it's not working out too well right now.

So far Gustavsson has played well, he doesn't make the mistakes that Carle and Coburn makes. He's making good hockey decisions, I want them to keep him up and use him as the 6th dman. Also would like to see Lavy bench Carle, Coburn or Mez when they keep making bonehead plays or costly TO, these guys don't seem to be scared of benching as we have no depth there so they keep doing the stupid mistakes.

I don't watch TB that much, he's only 20? and in his 3rd NHL season. I remember he was highly regarded in that draft, they all say dmen takes longer to develop. I don't want to lose Bob either but I can't see a way that he will be our future starter anytime soon so mind as well use him as part of a package for the young dman we need. Someone I like is Yandle from Phoenix but would cost us a lot more. Homer gets rape by Maloney if you remember lol.

Was thinking about this and what do you guys think? Homer and Yzerman seems to like making deals. TB needs a goalie bad with Roloson struggling. We send Bob, Voracek and 1st in 2012 for Hedman. I would hate to lose Bob but don't see how he has a future here. Then we can flip Carle to another team for picks and keep Gustavsson up. If not in season maybe in the offseason? TB will need another goalie next year.
