Bettman will send out a memo to all officials saying that if anyone gets near #87 it is a 5 minute major penalty. If someone should actually check him, it will be an automatic 3 game suspension from Shanny.

We are 1st in the league in offense despite Briere being off to a slow start. Any thoughts on how they can get Briere going? I haven't seen much chemistry with Simmonds and JVR on his line. How bout Danny w/ Read and Voracek?

#31 should be officially retired but won't be because Pelle was DWI when he died.

I am sure the NHLPA would have something to say about it but what about some type of "team penalty" for taking an undsiciplined, lazy penalties or multiple penalties in one game? Management would review the penalties after each game and vote. Offenders could "pay a penalty" by making a monitary donation to a flyers charity or buy the team meal on the next road trip.

It will be interesting to see how they come out and play tonight against a much improved Panthers squad after a few days of R & R. **On a side note- Wasn't it two seasons ago that half of the team got divorced after a "bonding trip" in Florida? Florida, the New Vegas!
