Miller Time

I for one did not like the moves San Jose made in the off season and its costing them now. Sedaguchi (sorry if I mispelled) they should have kept. Dominic Moore is a waste. He came to Buffalo for a short time from the Leafs. He actually played over his head in Tampa but did not stay there. He can skate but that is it. He pretty much skates around where the puck is looking for it to come to him. No physical play from him, they can have him. He would be a good AHL player and that is where he belongs.

Wow. We could use a goon. But he is too much of a liability. We would be short handed 8 times a night. And I know Darcy would never go for him. Will be interesting to see if he does land somewhere?

All of the teams we wanted to lose lost last night. Tampa, Washington, Florida, Toronto. The Leafs I am hoping will fall in Pittsburgh. The Sabres must start another streak tonight and I believe they will get the job done. I picked Carolina to beat Washington last night and they pulled it out. So I would think they may be a bit tired. I would pick the Sabes in this match up even if they were not. Do not know if Cam Ward played. He is one of the best goalies and never gets enough credit. If he played last night its pretty much a certainty the backup would play tonight being they are out of the race and rebuilding. GO SABRES!!!!

Would be a mistake to fire Randy because he is a fine coach. Not his fault they do not have the players

When is the last time you saw them call a dive on an obvious dive? Or if you have a guy on your team that has a reputaion, he is a marked man. Like kaleta on our team. Or what about the non consistant calls. or the IOU penalties. If they blow a team off for deserved penalties, you can rest assured the next one or two are going to go against the other team regardless of merit of the call. Its what I call an IOU penalty. Its ********.

I was told long ago that to be the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, the favorite team of my cousins in Canada, you had to be able to speak French fluently? Well I doubt very much that Randy Cunneyworth can? If he can its a secret to me? He was a loyal Sabre and even played due to an injury in the 99 finals. He was head coach of the Rochester Americans for years. So is it true? And do you like him or not? Certainly he cannot be blamed for Montreal being where they are.

I am not a big fan of Refehr. He let that guy skate right around him last night and beat Miller. I would trade him and call up McNabb. I love what I have seen from that kidd McNabb, The Keepers, obvious or not: Miller, Vanek, Pommenville, Myers, Erhoff, Hodgson, Boyes (not all will agree with this one but I keep him), Ennis, Kaleta, Gerbe, Leino (has come around), Sekera. Not sure: Roy (word is him and Ruff have had it with each other), Ellis (works hard for sure), Leopold ( sure turns the puck over more than he scores and can be a liability) Would trade or let go. Drew Stafford. Yes. I have expected much from him and believe he would benefit from a change of scenary. McCormick, Hecht (is he still on the team?, Always hurt) Enroth must be kept as a backup unless an offer is presented. Depending on how Darcy handles the draft, the big issue is the number one draft picks. Does he trade them for a proven player or use them? That is a big big question. I have total faith in his ability. Why wouldn't I after the job he did on Nashville. So my fellow Sabre fans or non fans, lets see if you agree on my take?

Even though I can get my Sabres on MSG I have bought Center Ice the last few years and could not live without it. I love it. To hell with those free slowed down online hockey sites. Center Ice is great. I am getting it every year if the wife permits, and I think she will. Right now league pass is on free and I have all these free movie channels so its nuts trying to figure out what to do. Not to mention a PC laptop that I live half of my waking life on. So do you all have Center Ice and like it?

No team can put more fear in an opposing goalie than the Vancouver Canucks. I believe Boston was lucky and I say Vancouver has learned from it and will find a way to win the Cup. I just think they have too much to be beaten in a seven game series. If anyone can do it its the St Louis Blues. But I do not think they can. Whoever comes out of the East will have a tough task if Vancouver is waiting. By the way. Thanks for doing business with us. We are two teams that came in together in 1970. I would not write the Sabres off over one game in Winnipeg. Look at the standings. They have as good a shot as any of the lower seeds and are better than all of them on paper. The teams we are fighting I say will self destruct. We win at an 80 percent clip we make it. then bring on the Rangers.

They have a ton of talent.

Nobody is going to win every night. .They have to stick to Lindy's plan and win four out of every five. Well they just did that agaiin Now they have to beat Carolina. I am sure Boston will be in a foul mood as we have beaten them two straight now but it won't matter because we can beat them again. Lindy will be on Vanek big time now. He is going to call him out after that turnover. I know Lindy and he is not going to be happy with Vanek and even Pommenville. We will bounce back. I guess we have to cheer for Ottawa tonight as much as I hate them. We could set our sights on catching them but its an easier task to try and beat out Tampa and Washington and Winnipeg.

Price as good as Miller? Laughable. And Lundquist is the only one on the list in his league. Maybe Luongo. None are as good. You cant blame Miller for the loss last night. And he rarely ever gets beat on break aways. He is the best break away goalie in the game and I will take him over anyone in a shootout.

Well that last goal was the worst Miller has given up in a while but I cant blame him as much as Regehr. Lazy *** play by Regehr. I was worried about this game. Last on the road trip. Just when Smith looks so invincible and so does Phoenix, wham. Back to Earth they crash vs Colombus and Calgary. They sure had the answer for Bryzgalov with Smith but is Smith a world class goalie? I say no. Good like Quick, not great like Miller or Lundquist.

All of a sudden Colombus pulls two big upsets. So who knows if he will be traded. I guess if they would not take that package for him they pretty much dangled him out there to see what would be offered. Then they looked at him and said to themselves "look what we have".
