Kansas City Scouts - Wilf Paiement

California Golden Seals - Dennis Maruk

Cleveland Barons - Dennis Maruk

Atlanta Flames - Kent Nilsson

Colorado Rockies - Joe Cirella

Minnesota North Stars - Mike Modano

Quebec Nordiques - Adam Foote

Winnipeg Jets - Shane Doan

Just curious I could be wrong I thought the word defunct meant these teams were out of business. California move to Cleveland then merged with the Minnesota North Stars which in turn transferred to Dallas. Of course you know where the others team transferred to. It's nice to know tidbits like this. Thanks for the info

You could also say that about the Kansas City Scouts moving to Denver to become the Colorado Rockies which then moved to New Jersey to become the Devils...

 

I still love the Nords blue uniforms...

I like to the Seals come back to rival the Sharks! I'm hoping the BlueJackets transfer to Cleveland. I like a Pittsburgh Cleveland rivalry.
