California move to Cleveland then merged with the Minnesota North Stars which in turn transferred to Dallas. Of course you know where the others team transferred to. Thanks for the info You could also say that about the Kansas City Scouts moving to Denver to become the Colorado Rockies which then moved to New Jersey to become the Devils...
