Since we can't seem to score that's most likely game

You take 97 off the team and we might be in the Bedard sweepstakes.....We can't buy a goal without his (or his assists).  Great move with Fiala for another 'dime a dozen' D that we need to ditch by the deadline anyways (if you can even get a bag of pucks for him).  They should have traded him last summer and made space for a Fiala contract.  At least Boldy would not be stuck with ZERO skill on his line and regressing on 5x5.

If Steel is about to be cut; 22 points in 52 games and +8, would BG cut anyone else with equal or less production?  If so, you have basically the bottom 3 lines (except EEK and Boldy, whom get most of their points on PP1 - I wonder why).  I would package any players outside of KK, MZ, EEK, Boldy, Brodin and the Goalies.  You can also package/sit 2 and bring up Walker to play with Boldy, and Rossi to play with KK and MZ - what do you have to lose at this point?  We need a change....BADLY.  We might also need to show Evason the door at year-end.  His inflexibility to make the right changes and unequal treatment across players is becoming a problem.  We don't have a Country Club like before, but we do have a 'protected class' that never seem to be made an example of.

Dewar has been playing really well imo.
BG looks about as pleased as most of the fans. 😅

BG is part of the problem.  His inability to make the right call with Fiala (versus Dumba), and allowing Evason to run this team into the ground is getting old.  I do like his build up of the Farm, and Talbot for Gus.  I don't like his allegiance to certain players, nor his wrath for others that lessen trade value (see Fiala).  He needs to grow up a bit as a GM and stop playing favorites, babying Evason, and make the right calls.

I still say BG calls the shots and Dean is his puppet.

Fitting that the Avalanche score a goal right when TNT interviews BG.  He was all cheery and making excuses.  That should shut him up.  There ARE line-up (and call-up) problems.  The bloom fell off the rose with this group via St. Louis last year.

Perhaps.  So, you think BG wants to dry-hump Gaudreau from days playing for DE in the AHL too?  The guy is NOT a top 6 or PP2 forward.  It just shows how weak our line-up is.  He is a specialists - good at some things, but not a Top 6.  This is merely a microcosm of other matters (keeping players in IA until they gray/stale, etc).  If he puts Ohgren, Yurov, and Khustnidinov through that long-stint BS in IA, as well as Faber, Lambos, etc., I want a new GM.

The Bloom fell when BG said to play Fleury down the stretch and not keep the rotation going and riding him VS St. Louis.

I wasn't a fan of the 'wire-to-wire' plan with Fleury either, however, our OFFENSIVE (emphasis) meltdown against St. Louis was a harbringer of what we are seeing this year.  We simply had no reliable scoring aside from KK, and would have been boat raced without him.  The Goalie decision was less important, in my opinion.
