Alexandron Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 A must win game against a former Stanley Cup winner. We do not have any other options at this time. Entire team should step up especially in goals of winning and in goals in opposite net. Any goals (including ugly one; as well as deflected; redirected; shorthanded) are welcome for the fans. So far we did not reach enough this level. And as a part of the hockey professional business some current players should be benched (because not showing anything) and some promising one should be taken from Iowa for the tryout here (because showing a continuous nice production there). IllaZilla Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I believe Addison is out and Goligoski is in tonight. Apparently Dean wasn't too pleased with Addison's game the other night... 1 Quote

Doesn't want to put that pressure on him. And I doubt Greenway is hurt. He's just a bum. Only reason Reaves is in there is because Foligno is hurt. Somebody has to be the tough guy... 2 1 Quote

Interesting, at my work many employees (as a long time Wild fans)at 6 hospitals are saying same thing about him. Quote

Apparently Dean wasn't too pleased with Addison's game the other night... You are right. He will be out for tonight game. Personally for me it is a very strange decision. The most productive defenseman for the team is scratched (3 goals; 23 assists in 52 played games). If Evason does not like his play for defensive part then place him together with Brodin or Spurgeon to control better that part of his play. And maybe Addison will learn more out of these 2 experienced players as well too. Dumba does more stupid mistakes and is not producing well (4 goals; 9 assists in 51 played games) in comparison to Addison. He is more merit to be benched. And Goligoski has not a lot of points too: 1 goal; 2 assists in 21 played games. Joe Smith @JoeSmithNHL 3h. Evason: “This league is too hard to just be a specialist, right? You have to play in all areas and you have to play the game 5-on-5 as well.” Quote Tweet Joe Smith @JoeSmithNHL 3h. Dean Evason said Calen Addison is healthy scratch for same issues he had in December. Not good enough in his own end. “He knows that there's some things he has to correct in his game and we've asked him to and we haven't seen the level of improvement that we want.” #mnwild Joe Smith @JoeSmithNHL 2h. Asked Calen Addison what message staff gave him in scratching him. “Playing scared, I guess.” He doesn’t seem to agree with their assessment. Agrees he can round out his game + battle. But. “It’s frustrating,” he said. #mnwild Quote
ClusterChuck Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I was hoping That shot Foligno took to the knee was just a stinger....Guess not. At least the Av's played last night so usually that means an advantage for us. Usually. One of these nights we have to score more than 1-2 goals and for us to win we'll probably need 4. Wild win 4-3 Quote

They really NEED him to be injured. Or just more simple way. Evason needs Greenway to be scratched like he did for months with Parise; Shaw; Goligoski... Or to present Greenway that he was injured during the practice when he was even not showing up there. 2nd and 3rd liner like he was during this season produced only 2 goals and 4 assists in 36 games. Wow for making this money($3,000,000 per year)? How much cost his one goal? I am hear more and more at work that Evason will be fired at the end of the season if we will not make a playoffs with that team's play and production. Players who show some production (Steel; Addison) he is scratching and players who do not show that mentality continue to play. People do not care how (5 on 5; 5 on 4; 5 on 3; 6 on 5; shorthanded; 3 on 3 during OT or during SO)but we need to place some how those goals to make persistent wins. Quote

EmptyShelf Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I cannot understand why Evason puts our PP2 on much sooner than other teams. They suck a55. Is it just to get his mancrush Gaudreau on for some points? It is a failed strategy......over, and over, and over. Our PP2 is just hideous, and he pulls PP1 way too early. 1 Quote
