  1. 1. Two Stanley Cup Hopefuls....But Only One Can Move On...

    • Avs in 4.... WPG won't be standing in the way of another Cup run for COL
      0
    • Avs in 5... WPG defense is tough, but COL and their offense is better!
    • Avs in 6... Great series that comes down to the Avs being just a step ahead of the Jets
      0
    • Avs in 7... Could have been anyone's series, but Colorado wanted it more
    • Jets in 4... WPG is just too big, too strong for Colorado. And yea, they made it look THIS EASY.
    • Jets in 5... A bit of show from the Avs is not nearly enough to stop the Jets from taking that next step.
      0
    • Jets in 6... Much closer set where the Jets show they are more than just a smash n bash team
    • Jets in 7... Some might call it a bit of an upset, but the Jets were built with the playoffs in mind all along...COL is left wondering what happened....

my god Makar  ... if you're in a Jets sweater on the ice for that goal ... hang you head weep and moan... not a damn thing you could've done ..

It's easy to say Lowry has to lower the  boom there...try hitting Makar when he's skating/weaving/dancing thru 3 zones like that... good luck. before you get him lined up he's gone...

Again, great coaching by Bowness. He inserted Jonsson-Fjällby to "strengthen" the PK (ok, that's the plan. Not to score more goals, not to try to change any momentum, but just defend the best possible way in the given case that the Jets will get penalties because that's so obvious).

Colorado took a 4-1 lead with two PP goals, and Jonsson-Fjällby hasn't got any single second of ice time at that moment. :bonkingheadonwall:

But there's progress. He didn't proceed to a goalie change when trailing 12-1 with 2 mins remaining in the game... He did that a bit earlier. So far, 22 goals allowed for a team that relies heavily on defensive tenure and strong goaltending.

And without any surprise, it's time for Bowness to throw his players under the bus in the typical finest Ricky style.

Scheifele: "The Avalanche made adjustements compared to the regular season and we didn't". Translation: our dumbass coach didn't do shít when we started to get demolished by Colorado.

Bowness: "Hellebuyck is not the problem. It's the players in front of him".
