hf101
Mike Yeo is looking for his teams first PP goal as the Wild are 0 for 11. “Sometimes the young kids go out there with an older guy and they defer.” He devised two new PP units for the team while striking a friendly competition between the two. First line consists of veterans Suter, Parise, Koivu, Vanek and Pomminville. Second line consists of the more youthful Granlund, Coyle, Niederreiter, Brodin and Spurgeon We all would expect the first line to net the teams first PP goal, but I think these young guys will net one tonight. flyerrod
How the young guys are able to read the points and be able to keep the puck in will determine how long he keeps the lines separated by age. I can see the older line being much more effective in the offensive zone until a turnover that will force them to play actual defense. I think the young guys will be trying too hard to wait for the perfect setup and shot which will hinder their effectiveness on the PP. One way or the other, it is a great experiment and should be fun to watch.
