lost kid

My grandson has a pal. They come from different states, but have played with and against each other for close to ten years. Ended up in the same prep school as roommates. Good friends. I like the kid too. His parents are really nice people.

Last night, I watched streaming of my grandson's game. His buddy wasn't on the ice. I asked my son about the absence. He said the kid did "something". To his credit, my grandson won't talk about it. But, his pal lost his scholarship and can no longer attend the school.

I dunno what happened. I won't push for answers. I'll respect my grandson's wishes.

But, I feel bad for the kid. His parents, and my grandson.

Sad story.
