Columbus clinched a playoff spot with yesterdays 4-1 beating of the Devils.

Kind of a strange game, a shorty and then two penalty shot goals (one of

Speed and transition, defensemen joining the rush and pushing the puck, forwards back on defense, little Cam th?id=OIP.hdCvM9msIqrpDSAdyepADQEsDS&w=2Atkinson diving to block a pass on a 3 on 2 that would have almost certainly been a Devils goal. When your leading scorer is caught up ice and busts his tail to get back on the play and break it up like that you better believe everyone else is taking notice.

The whole team is bought into Tortorella's system from top to bottom, Bob is healthy for the first time in years and they have already set records for most points in a year, most home wins, most goals scored in a season and more. I knew they would be good and went out on a limb before the season and said so but nobody in their right mind would have predicted that with ten games to go they would be battling for the Presidents trophy.

If you get the chance to watch these kids which includes 5 rookies and numerous second and third year players as well when you can actually enjoy their style of play, in other words when they are not playing your favorite team but against someone else you will see a young hungry hard hitting and fast team that believes in themselves and trusts their goalie who is giving them reason to do so. Fun team to watch as they absolutely play the game the right way.
