I am not sure if Fletcher was able to meet with Svetlakov there too. I think the most deals happened for him after the Russian team with Kaprizov won Olympics last year as well as 2 years in a row SCKA team reached Gagarin Cup finals and won it this year. Probably, his contract is much better there in comparison to an entry level here. Sorry Illazila, my mistake - read above Fenton instead of Fletcher. Sincerely, for me, they all(Fletcher,Fenton and now Guerin)were doing same things - discouraging/destructing the young promising talented prospects because of signing the oldish players to an NTC/NMC long contracts. Maybe it's a trend here? And where is a Wild future?

Maybe it's a trend here? And where is a Wild future? The Wild are in the middle of the pack in the NHL with regards to NTC/NMC’s. Some have more some have less. The GMs are only doing what the owner wants. The owner doesn’t want a rebuild. He wants a Cup. So the team is keeping the veterans around and using the young players in a supporting role. Until Leipold gives the green light for a rebuild, don’t expect to see the Wild start featuring young players.
