WordsOfWisdom Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Now only 265 goals shy of the all-time Leafs franchise record (entering tonight's game), Auston Matthews is going to break every Leafs record that exists -- assuming management doesn't trade him first -- and he'll do it without breaking a sweat. Matthews has 281 points in his career so far, including 155 goals, all with the Leafs. Sundin's records are 987 points, 420 goals. Matthews is about: 6 seasons away for the goals record 9 seasons away for the points record Would be kind of neat if he broke the Leafs franchise record before turning 30. Also of note: The first Rocket Richard trophy for a Toronto player since black and white television is also a possibility. Quote
