Stupid penalty by Konecny.

The last stretch of the season will be the litmus test for the Flyers.  With 17 games remaining, 8 of those games are against teams with better records than the Flyers, 7 of those games in a row with a back-to-back thrown in for good measure.  3 more games against teams that are chasing the Flyers for a playoff spot.  Hoping the Defense gets healthy in a hurry.

The Playoffs effectively start this week.

That was all day ugly.  Best forget all about that game and move on.

The good thing about Ersson getting pulled so early is that the backup is still loose from warmups!  There’s always a silver lining!

Bullschit tripping penalty on Attard and they score.  Torts was livid and got bench minor and ejected.  This game is out of hand already.

Not a good start.  Tampa is winning all the loose puck battles.  
 

Not counting this team out.  Still lots of game left but they need to wake up!

Wasn’t that hard.

I’m a little confused by this trade.  He’s a big, physical kind of player that blocks a lot of shots.  I wonder if this was a Torts influenced trade because he likes this type of player?

Gurianov is fast.  He has close to 300 NHL games worth of experience.  He will add some pretty good depth for the Flyers or the Phantoms.  Allison is always hurt so I think this is a good trade.  Not a “reserve your spot on Radoran’s lawn for the parade” kind of trade but one that could really help.

My feed froze right after the timeout was called and unfroze when the Flyers were leaving the ice.

How can you not love the way this team plays?!?

I read this somewhere today…the return that Briere got for Provorov is two first round picks, two second round picks, and two players (Johansen and Petersen).  That’s a haul!

If that guy is Ceci, do you take him? $3.25mm cap hit through next season.  I would do that as long as it’s a 1st round pick.  Anything less than a 1st, then no.

Flyers had a great 1st period.  Then they forgot about the other 40 minutes…

Yep.  Haven’t seen Brink out there in the 3rd so far.   He just got his confidence back.  I hope this doesn’t set him back any.

My rank was just increased to “Community Regular”.  WTF?!? I’ve been a regular since the beginning.

I’ve played in an arena where they wouldn’t turn the lights on because it cost more to light the place for an hour than what we were paying to rent the ice.  This is a whole lot brighter than that arena was.

You would think the bank would have enough money to pay their bill.

Today, one of the talking heads called him the Rempire State Building.  He is huge!

I think the system the Flyers are using really benefits Seeler’s game.  Put him in a different system and his game will drop off.

 Laughton's stat line in a 7-6 loss...3 pts, Shorty, Power  Play pt, Primary Assist and a stunning +4!! Throw in 7 face offs wins for fun. He did a LOT to increase his trade value today!!

I’m sure @CoachX will be singing Laughlin’s praises when he gets on here since Laughton is his favorite player!
