  1. That Bruin defense is looking awfully Swiss Cheesy...... Panthers just clanked one off the post as they just glided on through the Boston defense!
  2. Hahaha... Frigging Ekman-Larsen....what a tool. Horrendous turnover leads to those two Boston short handed chances. I tell ya...if the Panthers win the Cup, they would have won it IN SPITE of having that cement head OEL on the team!
  3. Good puck movement by Florida on their PP. But still, not enough screening on Swayman. He was clearly seeing all that movement and set himself up appropriately.
  4. Bruins falling asleep at the wheel on the PP. Bad turnovers to the short handed Panthers, and then, not hurrying to the Florida puck carriers resulting in Swayman having to bail the team out after some good looks on net by the PK'ing Cats!
  5. Hah... I like how they call it "The Situation Room" in Toronto... Very fitting seeing as how their hockey team always seems to have a "situation" on the playoffs
  6. Bruins score....and guess who was in the middle of all that.... Coyle aaaand.... the aforementiond Trent Frederic!
  7. Man...Jake DeBrusk. If he would cut out some of the 'cuteness' and fanciness to his game, and maybe just play more straight up, he might finally hit that consistency that the Bruins want from him! He is always on the cusp of being traded because he has lots of talent, but can never quite produce and create regularly. He had a chance just now to possibly create, but held onto the puck too long....looked like he had some options to pass to.
  8. The star players do it for the Cats this time.... Barkov, Ekblad, Tarasenko, and Reinhart all combine to tie the game at 1
  9. Really? Well, I would hope people have finally caught on then! I hear all the time about Barkov, Tkachuk, Ekblad, Bobrovsky....even Carter Verhaeghe on the Panthers, but Bennett's name usually is left off the 'essentials' list. Of course, people in the hockey-know can appreciate Bennett and not only what he has brought to the Panthers, but what he has been bringing for years in Calgary beforehand. Overall, I'd still say he is underrated because I feel he doesn't get the same recognition as some of the aforementioned Panther players, yet he is just as integral, if not more so at times, than some of those players. I feel that way about Geekie on the Bruins.... Cirelli on the Lightning..... Knies is becoming that (IMO) on the Leafs....out West, Faksa on the Stars, and maybe Foegele on the Oilers. Players who all don't get a bunch of ink, but you watch them, and they are so very important to how well the team plays on the ice.
  10. I've said time and again, that Sam Bennett is that underrated big part of the Panther's team... Morgan Geekie may be that for the Bruins. That big, almost oafish, but unsung type who does the dirty work, wins puck battles....and produces, quietly most of the time, but produces nonetheless. He just gave the Bruins their much needed lead here. 1-0 B's 5 minutes into the first.
  11. Stars have been pretty good all year, and you are right...they are being lead by the 'young core' because the older vets, while being serviceable for most of the year, and at times, pretty good too, have serioudly taken a back seat to those young guns. Sure, Dallas, like many other teams, have had their lulls during the year and the playoffs.....that Game 1 loss was atrocious!.... and fossils like Joe Pavelski have completely disappeared from the offensive landscape, but make no mistake, this team looks like it is set pretty well for the rest of these playoffs and into next year as well. I just wonder what kinds of excuses some Avs fans may be making now....ohhhhhh, yea....blood doping by the Stars...of course... But, as always, gotta win that 4th game before we can conclusively say "The Avs are done".
  12. He probably sleeps using the same brand mattress and pillow set Marchand has used all these years!
  13. Oh yea, Edmonton....leave sniper Brock Boeser all along in the center of the ice. Guy can pick his spot, and have all day to do it too.... 2-1 Vancouver
  14. Panthers get it done. Commanding lead on the B's. Ahh, but that 4th win....always elusive. Game 5 back in Sunrise, with the Panthers given the opportunity to make the East Finals in front of their home fans.
  15. There's your chance Boston... 6 on 4 PP for the remainder of the third... 34 seconds. Do you have a tying goal in your bag?
  16. Well, first of all, Rangers have to actually finish their series against the Canes. They are in the driver's seat, sure, but the Canes are still pretty good. Wouldn't surprise me if they made that real interesting. Second, I STILL don't completely buy the hype of the NY Rangers. The Atlantic Division, top to bottom, is much tougher, IMO, than the Metro. I respect the Canes as a good team, and if the Rangers do get by them, it will be an impressive accomplishment for them, but any of Tampa Bay, Toronto, Boston, or Florida would be or have been, a step above anyone the Rangers saw in the Metro outside of Carolina. I guess the Rangers are gonna have to actually put the W's in the column before I credit them with anything other than, they are playing well. Not ready to crown NY over Boston or Florida before they even take the ice.
  17. Panthers flirt with goalie interference, refs say goal stands, tie game it is! If Florida wins the Stanley Cup, you can bet Bennett, one way or the other, hook or crook, legal or illegal....the guy will be a big part of that
  18. Sam Bennett. Possibly one of the most underrated players in these playoffs! Ties the game.... But wait...there will be a challenge... possible goalie interference.
  19. You mean....the HYPE may be true....this time???? I won't lie, I am impressed by them so far. That said, beating a hapless Washington team four straight isn't exactly Herculean. If they manage to do it to a much better Canes' team...sure. Heck even if they just win the series. But if they make it to the East Finals, I think one of Florida and Boston will be quite different for them...especially if it's the Panthers. Crazy thing that keeps going through my brain though is.... if somehow, some way, we get the 30th anniversary of the rematch of '94.... I think the Rangers COULD be raising that Cup....and Van City may have to have their fire department on alert once again!
  20. Rangers making a mockery of this series. Not like Carolina isn't game, but at the end of the day, we are talking about a 0-3 deficit for the Canes! So much for a Stanley Cup buildup for Brindy's crew...
