I really wonder if Sanhiem becomes a piece in a hockey trade?

His contract is not great, but it is about par for the course as has been mentioned.

He's got some things going for him ability-wise.

It seems like Tortorella doesn't think he's all that good at hockey or something.

Maybe it's not that, but maybe he wants more from him and isn't getting it.

Dude's supposed to be a corner stone and he's struggled hard core this year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of dudes playing for other teams next year.

He's played for 6 years and has just 2 ok years the other 4 he has sucked ass !!!

First time all year I’m wondering what the hell Tortorella is doing. Scratching Sanheim again, Farabee on the 4th line again? Why because they squeaked out a win last night with that lineup? Whatever…

edit: Tortorella has Sanheim back in and Farabee is on the 3rd line. Unfortunately Farabee got his stick up on somebody down low and the Oilers scored off the first draw on the PP. Bad luck for Farabee, not good when you're already in the doghouse...

Should have sat Sanheim again another bad game

Ouch! sometimes the truth really hurts…Ellis is more noticeable than Sanheiim that’s funny…in a sad kind of way.

Damn these Flyers. For whatever they did, didn’t do or whatever the hell happened to Provorov. Likewise Sanheim and Farabee. Three guys (among others) who came into the league with obvious-to-everyone potential. Their rookie years proved the buildup was justified. And then? Look at them now (if you can bear to watch). Provorov’s still a turnover waiting to happen, JF looks like he’s forgotten that he has a natural ability to find/create seams and score goals and Sanheim? Sanheim is just a mess. He’s the picture of inconsistency and cluelessness.

All 3 should be bordering on great NHL players by now. Instead they play like they’re just waiting it out. Waiting what out I have no idea but even their good shifts, good games are not what they should be.

The Flyers, up and down their organization, are partly/mostly to blame for these failures. If those 3 were on a different team there’s no way they’d be so far behind in their own development. Reluctantly I agree it’s probably time to trade them. The Flyers failed these 3 and unfortunately there are others sinking in the same mud. What a waste.

I cant aree with you more. Well said

I always hear about Ivan or Deangelo or even everyone's favorite Risto but WTF is Travis Sanheim doing??

Talk about a guy living up to potential when is he ever going to makes some highlights??? I never see anything on him doing anything positive.

Why does he get a pass?? Did they miss the boat on trading him instead of extending him?? I mean if you want to blow it up he should have been one to be sent out as well.

Agree with you 100% been saying this for a couple years now

Unreal...always trying to antagonize, huh?  So sad...  Have you even watched any games or just looking at stat sheets?  Didn't say anything about his stats.  His stats are great.  And, he's played well.  However, many of the 10 goals against him so far this season have been soft, poor technique goals that need to be fixed.  Each goal tonight against him has been soft.  Yes, his stats are great.  But, he can be even better,

You havent been right about a player yet this year. HART is seccond in save percentage  so far this year,51 saves so far tonight.Deanglo is STILL out playing Sanheim. The old Sanheim has shown up so far this year thats who you should be mad at

No.  He was awful, at Boston.  Awful at Bridgeport.  And awful on the Isles.  One dimensional means he provided something in his game.  Bellows is a bust at the pro level.  Nothing too soon to conclude about that.

These soft goals by Hart must stop.  Two terrible goals given up that both fall to poor technique.  Which points to poor teaching.

Yea he only has a .949 save percentage so far this year thats terrible

Nope.  You don't know what you're looking at if you actually believe this.  Simply because you dislike Sanheim and are incapable of judging him with an open mind...

Yes.  Deangelo scored a goal and an assist against a poor and an average(at best) team.  That's great.  But, if you're watching and actually believing the guy can play defense at the NHL level, you have no idea what you're watching.  Sanheim's game in the preseason was miles above Deangelo's, without a doubt.

My man what games are you watching? Deangelo blocks shots, clears the net and takes people to the bords i think your the only one who doesnt see this.Like you said they played against an average team at best and Sanheim didnt have a good game

Unfortunately, pairing him with Braun isn't much better.  There's no doubt that Risto isn't anything more than a 5 or 6 dman, if even that in the NHL.  But, Braun absolutely doesn't belong in the league any longer and certainly shouldn't be getting 2 minutes of ice time, let alone the 18 minutes he got against Jersey.  As soft as Holtz's PP goal was, Braun was the sole reason why he got the look from the circle that he got against Hart.  He just can't move his feet any longer and shouldn't even be on this roster or Lehigh's roster.  And, there's nothing in Deangelo's overrated game that deserves 23 minutes of ice time.

Provy and Sanheim should be paired so they actually have a top pair that deserves the 22-25 minutes per game they should both be getting.  And get the youth(York, Attard, Egor and even Ginning) in the remaining pairs learning and developing at the NHL level.  All 4 are clearly better options than Risto, Deangelo, Braun or Seeler.  Seeler shouldn't be anything more than the 7th, used as the 6th only in short emergency durations.  The other 3 never should have even been considerations for roster spots here with the youth they have on D, and can barely play defense at the NHL level, if at all.  Even Hogberg would be better than those 4 on the roster.

Give it a break about Deangelo  and Sanheim already hes out played him in the preseason and so far this season

I haven't seen a single source (not related to the Flyers) that thinks the Flyers made a good trade here.  Everything I'm seeing says they overpaid.

The only thing DeAngelo will lead to is Hart to request a trade.

You didn't  look to hard, look at the Carolina Hurricanes  forum they are not happy at all with the picks they got.tiok all of about 30 sec to find this out

Yeah what's even better is that  Sanheim  has played  for 5 years and has won an award  for sucking so bad the year before  not once but twice

The most "improved player" if you didn't  know
