  1. The video is here http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=598758
  2. He cleared earlier in October, which is why the Flyers were able to send him down to Glen Falls right away. He will have to clear re-entry waivers to be back on the Flyers roster, at which point any team can claim him for half his cap hit (and we're stuck with the other half).
  3. I find the Walker bit to be troubling: Any other team could pick him up for about $850k on re-entry, with the Flyers picking up the other half. At that price, Walker is fair market value and there might be some takers out there.

The Nodl/Talbot/Simmonds line was near invisible last night. I would like to see Shelley scratched (or even better, waived) and Z on the 4th line.
  5. I think it's the coaching. Ever since Laviolette has been here, we have had a really hard time hanging onto leads and closing out games. This stretches back at least 2 full seasons. I think his first season was the exception because there was still a lot of the John Stevens stamp on the club. But since then, we've been extremely undisciplined, poor in our defensive end, and unable to cling to leads. Oh well. We almost won a Cup. That's gotta count for something, right???
  6. I said it in the SB that Bryzgalov just looks way too casual in net. Fishbulb called it nonchalant, and then the game announcers used the same term a few minutes later Guess they must be lurking! Anyway, if Bryz has a little more urgency in his game and positioning, that 2nd Buffalo goal doesn't happen. He would have been back on time and in position.
  7. Agreed. He's a team guy, no doubt about it. Holmgren really went out of his way to bring back character guys like Simmonds, Talbot, Jagr. Not sure about Voracek yet. I'm kinda disappointed by his play thus far. He's all sizzle and no steak.
  8. I say 3-1 Flyers, goals from Jagr, JVR, and Z.
  9. I'm disappointed with JVR so far. He's been pretty passive, and almost Carter-like in his perimeter play. He's the one I'm most waiting to see breakout. Schenn? Put it this way, I was more impressed with Harry Z in the one game he played than with all the games Schenn has played. He could end up being great, but he could also end up being a bust.
