Hoping for a bit more consistency next season.
His numbers this year are very good, but, they are of the 'all or nothing' variety.
Good streaks followed by stretches of.....nothing.

If he can spread out his production for the entire year, that along with his monster face off prowess giving his team possession more often than not, I think he could at least be in the running for a Hart!

Actually glad to see the 'Nucks shut him down for the year (at least, that was the last I understood)....get him all patched up and ready to lead this team next season, with, hopefully, a bit more of a hard nosed cast of teammates.

I think in his head if they do make the playoffs and if he gets a good report in his last doctors visit he will be able to suit up. Now, I believe that is from his perspective.

You're a Wild fan...you know damn well Fletcher would rather get rid of the Konecnys, Farabees and Frosts and bring in more lazy, lousy veterans who are grossly overpaid...cause that's how he rolls.

You guys need a top line C correct? Well maybe Fletcher might be on top of that. He might just try and get Mikko Koivu to come out of retirement and there ya go. 😆

Give us Marcus Foligno then. We need a leader.

I think the best thing for Keith Yandle to do once this season is over is to skate off into the sunset and retire.

I hate when a player like him has had a great career and then he continues on and plays like this. I know they love the game, but there comes a time when you have to say you have to hang the skates up.

  4. I think the signing of Fleury gives the Wild added depth everywhere heading into the playoffs. You can't go wrong with that. It also gives the Wild one of the most prolific playoff goalies out there. If he gets hot between the pipes there is no telling how far this team can go. This team seems to have it all and a very strong chance to take it all the way.

In the playoffs the backbone is the goalie and there is a short list I would want on my team heading into the playoffs and Fleury is one of them.

The frustration with Provorov has all but ended since the TD. Justin Braun played well as his partner but Provorov’s game was terrible. Braun gets traded, Provy gets York, sometimes Sanheim, and suddenly no more mistakes. At least no more head-scratching WTF kind of mistakes.

If Fletcher trades Provorov and the return is anything less than OMG YES!! ….well I won’t even let myself think of it. It’s only a game right? Right.

Sometimes chemistry is a huge key in the mix of things and there can be times when a player just doesn't fit in or in this case work with another player.

Any trade for a guy with the youth of Provorov and the talent has to land something back that is going to say WOW that trade just made our team a hell of a lot better. Not a trade where you get a player that is going to end up giving you the same sort of stats as the player you traded.

I am also thinking that we should fight for the 2nd playoffs spot in full in remaining 7 games of the regular season, because home ice is still a home ice for a starting playoffs. This way (during these 7 games) we will develop more depth for a playoffs too.

That is certainly not out of reach. I also never like teams that are heading into the playoffs that are on fire like the Avalanche, Blues, and the Panthers. To me that is a perfect sign for a playoff letdown.

  7. I think most teams want to work with the players they drafted and work with them to see the progress. At least that is the way I think it is supposed to go.  Trades that are unilateral like Provorov for Chycrun just don't make much sense.  Now if some team is offering an upgrade of a player that is around the same age as Provorov that makes sense. Just don't make a trade because a player is having a down year that is just going to end up giving you the same type of player in return.

Welcome to a board. Agree. He was a star #1 last game.

Actually, that game was fantastic for their entire line. Fiala 4 points(1 goal;3 assists); Gaudreau 3 points (3 assists); Boldy 2 points(1 goal; 1 assist).

They did put together a solid game

I still think they have things to work on heading into the playoffs, but I think they have solid depth to go a long way.

  9. The Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Most exciting playoff system in sports. I never go with the chalk and most certainly do not go with the teams that are super hot going into the playoffs like the Panthers, Avalanche, and Blues.

In the East I am going to pick the New York Rangers and out of the West the Minnesota Wild.

The Wild will win the cup in 7 games. :)

The State of Hockey with go Wild!!!!!!
