IAll we can really do is wait to see if Bryz gets it together. This team "should" make the playoffs. That's where I'll "judge" Bryz this season.

Wait - frustrated? Get it together? I thought he was. Bryz is in the Briere/Timmo tier for me, vets who have game who got paid and gotta play up but not carry the entire load...Didn't Briere register similar frustration in the early going, too?

Used to say the same thing about 88 and I don't think Bryz is even near that talented. So the pigpiling is - if he's gonna be paid the highest, he has to play the best?

I blame Bettman for the SO loss, not Bryz. So he looks slow and it's 2 ga on the road; he's not focused, but has given up 2 or less in 11 of his last 16 starts. He hasn't stolen a game, but is 8-1-2(?) on the road this season all while his inner Denkuveddymuch has just snagged 2/3 from the Pens/Caps/B's. It's ok till May.

Ups? How bout Best road record in the NHL 30+ into season? Snuck another point out last night with that weak .925 SV%. Last week Bobo and the PK grinded out 2 pts in MTL. Which was just after Bryz shutting the door on a Caps team, again on the road. Which followed his back-to-back away/home Ws over Buf/Pitt. C'mon. Champs put us in a our place, yet it's only 30+ games in...

@aziz - so the goalie gives his team a chance to win be keeping the opponent to 2G, and that's good enough for me during the regs on the road.

And you believe 2ga avg qualifies as a #1 goalie in the NHL, but necessarily an elite G? And Bryz is paid to be elite?

@aziz - what is so bad about a 2 goal game on the road? Because it should have only been 1 gaa? Did B give up any goals in the third? We're seeing a totally different (and banged up) team play to the best road record in the NHL so far, I think. I'm looking at Bryz to up his phonehome game.

After watching him suck in goal and talk about the Universe, galaxies, wormholes, and Russian vodka I'm done with this guy. How can the team be confident in front of him when they all know he's a nutcase and cannot be relied upon in goal ? Are we really as screwed as it looks with the goalie situation ?

This is a Sonot Cal statement. C'mon. There's a fine tradition of nutcases in our organization. I see Radoran is being sensible, again.

Bryz has been pegged with 1 loss in reg on the road so far.

If that show doesn't help you, change the station.

You are reminding me on the old Russian proverb if I may translate, that if your glass is half empty may the rest be wodka!

That's funny, but a little harsh. It has been a rougher go on home ice, but Bryz has given up 2 or less goals in 10 of last 15 games, all Ws.

Jimmy Howard (having a great season) has done that 11 times in his last 15; Thomas 9 times (5! SOs); Lu 8; Vokun 7 and the FlowerPot's got only 4 petals. So, again, let's see how he bounces back 2nt. It's a loooong season.

Hopefully this guy gets his act together and soon, or it's going to be a looooong 9 years for both Ilya and we fans.

At this point there may be a problem looming in his home/road splits - .882 / .912. But Bryz is 8-1-1 on the road so far, not too shabby.

More consistent? No improvement? Clown? That stinker was his second regular season loss in 6 weeks, c'mon. Back to back Buf/Pitt Ws then he kept us in a 0-0 Caps game until the Vok started leaking all the way to tops in the Conf with injuries galore. Let's see how recovers from this one

Mojo - Just saw the highlights - and they still won 5-1. May not mean anything in May, but hey, this squad like this website has a different mojo, Mojo - Winless in 10 v Caps, the day GMan announced indef, with Bryz besting Vok on the road? Our goalie upped his game a notch when needed, real good to see. I'm sure Holmz enjoyed this one.

Maybe their roster ain't all that. I think it could be with a coach not trying to get past a 95 Devils squad. Penner's been the bust. Billboards litter the streets that 'Time is Now', turned out to be Hammer Time.

Radoran - Before Buff, Bryz' previous 10 games in net posted .920/2.2 helping to add 17 points in the standings. Since the Oct skid, he's lost one in regulation. That's earning keep.
